    The platform tech chase

I think it depends on where you waveland on the platform (e.g. if they landed near the left side of the platform, waveland juuust to their right), and what stage you're on, which determines the size of the platforms (e.g. DL64).

    The platform tech chase

I think that if you waveland on the platform and continue holding down, you will continue to crouch on the platform. This will let you crouch cancel a get-up attack (depending on you % of course) and follow up with a forward smash, while also allowing you to cover tech rolls.

Official The 20XX Melee Training Hack Pack (v5.0.2 - 1/20/2023)

You mentioned replays, so are you using 20XX Tournament Edition? If so, the 20XX Hack Pack and TE are totally different, with the latter having replays but no CPU actions/random DI. If you're not using TE, then you're probably using 20XX 4.0 Beta, which has no CPU actions (unlike 3.02).

    Lasers on floaties

While this is an old match and the audio quality is pretty bad, I really like this set between PPMD and Hungrybox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3swO43fiZE. It shows how Falco can control Puff with constant pressure with lasers, dairs, shines, and grabs, while also walling out Puff with...

    PPMD's Falco Discussion Thread

I liked Kira's video, but I also found that it was a little lacking in general pointers on what you can do to improve your observation and adaptation skills. The following two posts help address this...

    Uthrow Combos on Marth

What about a cross-up tomahawk into pivot grab or shine/shine-turnaround grab? I haven't tried this but I'm curious how viable it is. Also, a tomahawk into shine-grab after conditioning the opponent to expect an aerial going into shield isn't a bad option at all.

Official The 20XX Melee Training Hack Pack (v5.0.2 - 1/20/2023)

Are you using 20XX 4.0 or 3.2? The former has no CPU actions but 3.2 does.

    Tips for my first tournament?

I'll emphasize what BlueX said: take the chance to play as many friendlies as you can! If you're relatively new to the scene, chances are that you may get knocked out early (it happens to everyone). Don't just leave, though. Take the opportunity to get on an unused set-up and just play as many...

    PPMD's Falco Discussion Thread

With vanilla Melee, try practicing L-cancels on a stationary Bowser on FD. Turn handicap on, change the damage ratio to 0.5, then set your handicap to 1. Then practicing dairing and nairing on him. If you can get a shine out as soon as you land, then you're L-canceling successfully.

    Waveshining with falco problem

Does anyone have any tips for waveshining on a platform? I've found that if I hold down (e.g. after a dair or waveland) I can waveshine fine, but if I'm just standing on the platform and try to waveshine, I'll dip below the platform with the shine and air dodge. I've found that simply...

Official The 20XX Melee Training Hack Pack (v5.0.2 - 1/20/2023)

For the last week I've been having a strange problem with 20XX. I installed it on my Macbook in mid-June and it worked great. Since this week, however, when I start a match I can't damage the computer. The computer attacks me, but cannot damage me either. It's basically as if we both invincible...
