I'd say you just have to lean the new moveset. I dominated with Kirby in brawl, and with ssb4, it took me a while to get used to his changes, but it paid off. Kirby is still relevant, even if he's not top tier. Watch SuperGirlKels for some inspiration. :P

Ok, true. This WOULD fix his position in the meta tiers, but maybe having him low down is a good thing. He's a finesse character which can be quite a powerhouse if people use him right, so shouldn't it be okay if less people use him simply because he's a "low tier character"?

I agree. Old Reliable is definitely d-tilt>dsmash. I also like catching someone's dair with a usmash.

Personally, I think Kirby's moveset is balanced atm, no changes needed there. I played brawl before ssb4, so I do know what an ideal Kirby looks like. The only thing I would change in 4/upcoming 5, however, is his air maneuverability. He's like a lead balloon when you get into higher tier play.

Dair would be viable if not for ganon's u-special.

Two thoughts. First, Ganon needs to be WAY lower. I've lost so many for glories due to him. Second, Sheik should be a neutral. I've found a mixed winrate against him. I'm not a pro by any means, but these are my opinions.

I've found a few good short combos for starter damage. Any other suggestions? (0%) Bthrow>bair>dash (0%) Fthrow>fair>uspecial (0%) bair>bthrow>fair (short hop)

Hey everyone, As a Kirby main, I'm running into some problems as there isn't really a competitive meta for him, so I can't pick up techniques by watching pros. Can you guys tell me some viable running short hop combos? I'd also like to know how to ledge guard with Kirby. Thanks!
