Sephiroth has reignited the hype of Smash Ultimate! Naturally, I had to test him as soon as he launched. I put together a quick video showcasing some of his combos and options with more to come!

I hammered out a combo video for Byleth for those interested. I'll go ahead and drop it here. Nair strings are super tight most of the time, but there's a 5th hit you can get by fast-falling at the right time that makes follow-ups easier. I don't think I showcased it though.

I find Squirtle in particular very fun to use and a strong choice to be active 80% of the time. Ivysaur is nice for closing out stocks, stage control, and having good set up options. Of course, Charizard is great for brute strength and boasting strong kill options. Here's a combo video for each...

With the increase in speed I was hoping for even better combo potential from Ike. I think the removal of footstools hurt him a bit. Anyway, here's a video showing a bit of what he can do.

Did some further testing on it and the earliest I was able to escape Holy Flame was hit 6, but that was only once out of around 50 tries. Hit 7 inconsistently, with the average being around 8 hits (this was from 0% mind you. Of course higher percents made it easier to at least reset the hit...

Honestly, I'm not too keen on Ridley overall. I just happened to try him out and make a combo video for him. He does have some good options, I suppose. Here's an example of some of what Ridley can do:

Chrom's turn to shine! Having Roy's speed and no need for sweet spots, Chrom handles quite well in Ultimate. He has a pretty solid combo game and great damage as a result. Tag his UpB at the end of any combo and you're tagging on massive damge! Post any additional combos, tech, and information...
