Character weight list, fall speed list and random things

You're probably right on that. I'd even go as far to say that there are even more factors involved, such as the rate of acceleration when falling. The values I found may be a direct result of one of these factors or they may be independent values that where added to compensate for the effects of...

Character weight list, fall speed list and random things

It doesn't round of, so 10.9% will be displayed as 10%. As for training mode, I didn't use it because it lacks end of game statistics, so I don't know how it works with percentages. However, it should be pretty easy to test if it tracks whole percentages. Just take Fox and start blastering a...

Character weight list, fall speed list and random things

It follows normal mathematical precedence, so that would make it v = (d*a/m) + b +(f*c). And yes I did round with significant digits. Yeah, I saw it. But I don't wish to rain on his parade but his way of gathering data is not as accurate as mine. As I already said weight does not influence base...

    Weight Lists

Interesting stuff. However like all weight lists based of kill percentages or tests of how far characters fly it does suffer from some inaccuracies. Mostly because you don't separate the effects of weight from other factors that contribute to the survival of characters. It also doesn't account...

Character weight list, fall speed list and random things

A little while ago I had a big math project for school. Since I’d just gotten Brawl and very much preferred playing it over doing homework I decided to combine the two and make my math project about Brawl. So I set out to figure out how the knock back system in Brawl works. To achieve this I...

TKI: UK's First Brawl Tourney. May 24th. Sunderland. Confirmed.

I'm still interested in coming to this but it's very much up in the air right now. It's right in the middle of my final exams. However, I don't know my exact schedule yet and there's a possibility all my tests could be in the first half of the exam period. In which case I'd be done by the 22nd...

    On Wireless Controllers

Justc is right. While charging something the Wiimotes will sometimes release early. I've seen it happen many times. That said, apart from moves going of early I haven't noticed any lag or problems with the Wii motes. It's kind of a moot point for me since I prefer the Gamecube controller...

I am not convinced that tripping is random

Actually, saying that tripping is completely unrelated to controller input is not true. After all, have any of you ever seen a character trip while they where just standing still and doing nothing? So it seems that certain actions come with a chance to trip. The question then is, what actions...

    European Brawl Friend Codes

Since it seems a lot of people have gotten their hands on an import Brawl I figured a topic like this would be nice. So we can find some people to play with that aren't 6 time zones away. I'll edit this post as more people post their friend codes. Austria: Orichalcum: 0344-9083-3555...

The Rescue for PAL-smashers - Freeloader for Wii! *Bad news folks*

My first tip would be to check signal strength. If your Wii is far away from your router try moving it closer, preferably in the same room. Or else get the wired LAN adapter for the Wii. beyond that it's just normal connection issues. Like how fast your connection is, how much other stuff is...

The Rescue for PAL-smashers - Freeloader for Wii! *Bad news folks*

Well, finally got my Freeloader yesterday and played Brawl for a solid 15 hours now. Had some trouble with my RGB cable which doesn't seem to work on an NTSC game. But I simply switched to my old composite cables for now which works fine, if a bit grainy. Also played some "With Anyone" matches...

The Rescue for PAL-smashers - Freeloader for Wii! *Bad news folks*

I've got Freeloader ordered at 2 places now and neither has shipped... Called around but it doesn't seem like any gamestore withing 50 miles has one either. Guess I'm stuck for a little while longer. :(

The Rescue for PAL-smashers - Freeloader for Wii! *Bad news folks*

I'm pretty sure they have the ability to clean Wii's in Europe, after all they have fully function tech support departments over here. I also doubt there's gonna be a lot of Europeans with this problem since there probably won't be a lot of Europeans importing (relative to the size of the...

The Rescue for PAL-smashers - Freeloader for Wii! *Bad news folks*

The reason these lens problems haven't happened with other games is because Brawl is the first game that's on a Dual Layer disk. Single layer disks are easier to read and as such don't get hindered much by a little dust.

Whos pissed they didnt get their brawl?

You think not having Brawl yet sucks? Try having it but not being able to play it because your Freeloader isn't here yet. I've read the manual, looked at the box and the disk, even tried it on my PAL Wii for the hell of it... So frustrating! Curse you region lock! Curse you to hell!
