if they ban FD, pick the stage your most comfortable with. at low levels do it like that. once you get better then start thinking a bit more about where to go. hope i helped :)

learn his range, bait out moves, and stay in the middle of the map DDing (Dash Dancing). #1 thing is that you gotta bait stuff... you cant run in and expecting not to get hit just because you play fox. practice and repetition makes perfect :) hope i helped

lets see... a bad smash day... oh yes almost every day i play with this guy called david in my smash group lol hes a good guy and all but he uses sheik... and my marth doesnt really like sheik a lot at least his sheik... so yeah :) but what gets me pass this is pretty much what @LilBro said...

now with marth, try to go to training and make a fox, falco, captain (or any character actually i just practice against those a lot since those are the ones most ppl play) above you and try to Nair (neutral air) them accross the stage without them jumping or such. for this to happen you HAVE to...

go to any stage with fox in training mode and do Dair (down air) and L-cancel it into a reflector (the shine). look at the "consecutive hits" box on the right. if it says 1, you didnt L-cancel properly. If it says 2 or above you did :) heres a cool vid of ideas of how to pracice too...

try to focus a lot on your movement (Dash dancing, wavedashing, and wavelanding) also try to master or get really good with the pivot fsmashes or pivot grabs. polish on your edgeguarding too thats key with marth. if you get good with all that, i guarantee your marth will improve 10 fold if not more
