Interesting points, and a logic I can believe in. Of course, if they wanted to promote Yokai Watch through Smash, they could add Jibanyan to the game instead. They could also use it as a means to help Level-5 promote the upcoming movie or the Wii U exclusive Yokai Watch version of Just Dance...

It's so annoying when people scoff at Jibanyan's chances, saying that he won't make it because he is only known in the west, and then proceeds to talk up Shovel Knight's chances instead. It's the same situation, only Japanese-only characters have been added before, while Western-only characters...

I'm really excited, and a bit uneasy, to see who will be the next characters released. I really do feel good about Layton's chances, but I almost feel as if this is it. If it doesn't happen now, it will never happen. I don't know if that's true or not, but that is how I feel, at the very least...

With one new stage and three new characters, I'm predicting at least one newcomer and at least one veteran. Personally, I think Layton or a Rhythm Paradise representative is the most likely final non-ballot newcomer. Despite loving Rhythm Paradise more than anyone I know, I'm keeping all fingers...
