Joker's Gun and New Tech: Gun Canceling

Neat tech. Those two extra frames are the shield startup. You're actually just canceling into shield again, but then it immediately cancels shield into grab.

    Joker kill confirm patch 3.0

This is written like an old gamecheats entry

Any good controller setups for joker?

Whatever you're comfortable with, really. Objectively best controller binding (in general) is probably tilt stick + a jump button on one of the shoulders (whichever you don't use for shielding).

Early Joker Frame Data (and other data)

This is definitely wrong. It's a 1.6x multiplier afaict. Countering a 23% damage smash inflicted 37% back to them.

    Help with Forward Air-1

Try just grazing it. Flick the edge of the button and slide your thumb off. After enough practice, it should be second nature. Well, that's because they are. Fair is a bit of a cheeky move to try to land raw, but can be made more or less safe by spacing it. It's got a lot of lag, though, so...

    Some Joker Information

To expand upon this, downB receives triple the benefit of getting hit (i.e. you only need to guard 25% damage worth of attacks), and then reduces damage taken to only 40% of the original damage. So if you RG a 25% damage smash attack while having 0 meter, you'll take 10% damage and instantly get...

    Good times to Down B?

Projectiles can be pretty free, depending on distance. Dash -> jump -> downB is a crazy mixup with nair, since if you condition them to not antiair you, you can get free approaches off. The latter is more about getting reads, but you can also use dash jump RG as a means to run into telegraphed...

    Elite Smash?

Uh, no. It's closer to top 3.5%, based on the data we've collected. It's sad that this system is so obtuse that this blatant misinformation is still getting spread.

The Palutena Video Archive Thread - Post Your Palutena Vids and Game Footage Here!

I only watched the first match, but I could tell you came from smash 4. You could definitely afford to use more fair and bair. Not the way you were using fair in that video, though. Rising fair does have its place, but it's more of a combo tool or OOS option, not something you use at low...

Secondary with good neutral to learn

Asking for a character with a good neutral is basically synonymous with asking for a top/high tier. You don't get anywhere in smash without neutral. As such, any character that you see with any regularity in a tournament's top 8 probably has a good neutral game. Some off the top of my head: fox...

What is the Idea Behind Long Air Dodges in This game?

Defense is not free. Getting back to the ledge is not free - or it shouldn't be. Honestly, it's already too easy to recover in this game as it is. All too often you can recover low and just snap to the ledge, and there's nothing your opponent can do to stop you. If you're somehow in a situation...

    Elite Smash?

You have no idea what you're talking about. Stop spreading misinformation that was circulated by youtubers two months ago before we actually knew anything about GSP or elite smash. Win rate is correlated to getting into ES, since win rate is correlated with a rising GSP, but in the end, all...

    Elite Smash?

Current elite smash threshold is somewhere around 3.6M. The threshold requirement going up for ES doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, since your GSP is going to go up as more people join, too. You only get further away from ES by losing, and you only get closer by winning. Just focus...

Does gsp really show your skill level?

Impossible. New players will start out below you, inflating your GSP. GSP does go up over time, but your GSP will go up with it, even without you doing anything. Even though elite is a moving goalpost, your GSP is moving with it.

Does gsp really show your skill level?

You might actually be one of the best players in the game... that uses that ruleset. Since almost no competitive players play FFA items on, you're among the best of whatever is left. And now, having climbed all the way to elite smash on that ruleset, you no longer have anyone else to play...
