IIIRC most people consider Customs and Mii's on different planes considering Mii's are available in all forms even with customs turned off. I have the personal opinion that Mii's should either be allowed in all forms or banned altogether.

I agree with what you're saying, but in my opinion customs add more good than bad, at least from what we know. And I don't think we know all that much.

What drawbacks were there? People not using them isn't a fault of customs, so it makes no sense to try and use that as a point against them. From what I saw on stream, customs seemed to add diversity and depth without much cost, so I'm curious as to what other issues there were. Not allowing...

Tourneys haven't been letting people upload their own sets? I thought the EVO sets were just a recommendation of the 10 most likely sets people would use, and if your preferred set wasn't there, you could just change one of them really quickly.

I think it's fair to move Shaky up to a tier 1 Ness right? He beat ESAM and MVD at a recent Florida tourney and took 1st place with only Ness.

I have a hard time finding Greninja vids to study. Are there any players that have videos of them playing matches consistently? It seems all the ones I find are months old.

What would be more optimal?

I'd assume it works on most characters who have Falcon-esque shape/weight, like Ryu, Yoshi, Ganon, Samus, and some others. It probably works on everyone to some extent, but accounting for their weight and floatiness of course.
