    Possible Smashfest in Long Beach?!

Awesome thanks for the heads up, i'll definitely look into this. I've never really gotten the chance to play smash 64 with any non-noobs. And by noobs I mean people have NEVER played smash 64. It would be a breath of fresh air to learn from something other than repeated matches against CPUs.

If you guys are meeting up for smash 64 somewhere in LA i'm interested as well. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Wow, thanks a lot. This is EXACTLY what I needed. Where do you guys find these awesome videos? I feel like I can never find good smash 64 tech videos. Also, just to clarify, are you saying that holding the control stick in the opposite direction does nothing to reduce knockback?

This is probably a dumb question, but I've been watching competitive smash videos for a long time and I always hear stuff like, "wow that was great DI!" or, "not much DI there". So then is it common for people use both buttons depending on whether theyre gonna throw: an aerial or laser? Or do they usually just play with only one button and just deal with it?

Why do you prefer down-C over left-C? Just a matter of taste?

Hi, i'm pretty new here on the forums, but not at all new to smash. I've been playing 64 for a long time and i'm at a decent skill level, having already mastered z-canceling and all that good stuff pretty well. My dilemma is this: I've developed the odd habit of jumping using the right...

So-Cal (Preferably Orange County) Smash 64 Players

New to the Forums, and i'm in DESPERATE need of a smash partner. Barely any of my friends have even played SSB64, and those that have are crap so im stuck practicing on CPUs. I live in LA, the San Fernando Valley and i'd be down to play somewhere.
