    Jigglypuff Neutral Game

Samus is a fun matchup because Puff has to be the aggressor. If you stay close enough to her and provide enough pressure with spaced bairs and the threat of a grab, she can't spam projectiles. You then have to watch out for CC or wavedash back ftilt/utilt, which you can beat by grabbing or...

    Puff vs. Ice Climbers Discussion

This matchup is tricky. What is the optimal way to play neutral? I've based most of my strategy off of Hungrybox's performance in his set against Chu at Apex 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-XTSiohXZU He almost exlusively fullhops his aerials; this makes sense, since it puts Puff over...

Atlantic North [Sep 18, 2015] Jay Street Video Games Melee Tournament (King of Prussia, PA)

Is this the standard 4-stock, Best 2/3, Double-elimination format?

Smash Wii U Gets a "Call To Arms"

I'm seeing a lot of replies saying that people need to "give Melee/PM a break" or "move on" or similar things. In my opinion, this is a bad mindset to have. I, and many other Melee/PM players, simply are not interested in Smash 4. I don't dislike it at all; it is a deep, competitive fighter...

Petition to bring back Project M to Apex 2015

Aight, so I went ahead and made a petition to bring back Project M at Apex 2015. https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-apex-2015-bring-back-project-m-at-apex-2015 Unfortunately, I cannot seem to resolve the formatting issues, but the message still stands.

    Jigglytuff Move Suggestion Thread

3.5's changes to recoveries in general will be a massive buff to her, so I would argue that she doesn't need changes; she has strengths in extreme mobility and punishes and a weakness in being a tiny puffball who goes flying. If she's still not great after 3.5, however, I'd say make her dtilt...

    Jigglypuff Video Thread

Could I get critique on my Puff? This was my first tourney and I want to get better, so please don't be gentle :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN4eyOAULEg&list=PLJCuP6Odsy65H9wTROTCxTEXRmqytLLrt&index=14

Jigglypuff 4 : Good or bad?

I struggled through Brawl playing Jiggs competitively and never getting very far; in the past year I have picked up Project M and loved playing as her restored to proper glory. Needless to say, the general mechanical improvements of the game relative to Brawl combined with Puff gaining her...

    Smash 4 Meta

I don't understand why people are so innately pessimistic about Smash 4. Sakurai has already confirmed that Smash 4 will be faster and have no tripping, two essential mechanics for a more competitive Smash. Furthermore, based on what we have seen of gameplay, there appears to be proper hitstun...

    What about character-specific shields?

I'd be fine with them as long as the differences were purely cosmetic. Coverage and frame data should be the same as normal shields; otherwise we have more Yoshis.

    Balancing Chance and Skill

Items. Turn them on to have fun and give beginners a chance. Turn them off to have an almost perfectly skill-based, competitive match. And, to a lesser extent, having a good mix of competitive and crazy stages will aid the game for all classes of players.
