Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

Most of the lower-level programmers probably aren't, but the Takahashi Bros. still are. At least the creative forces behind the games are still around.

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

Well around 2010 they were a little busy making Xenoblade Chronicles, and they didn't do a whole lot of support work before then (they helped with Brawl, then Skyward Sword, which was their first support work with Nintendo's first-party studios).

Yeah, Monolith Soft is huge. They operate a dedicated team of support staff in Kyoto (they're based in Tokyo) and they've helped both the Zelda and Splatoon/Animal Crossing teams with their last couple games. So right now, it's reasonable to say they're working on BotW 2, Splatoon 3, and one of...

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

Many (myself included) have speculated about Monolith Soft helping with the game. They have a massive infrastructure of support staff and plenty of worldbuilding expertise, so it would fit perfectly with the large world of Weyard.

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

They don't have to work with Nintendo, but since first working with Nintendo in the '90s, they've made only one game for someone else (We Love Golf, the game you referenced, published by Capcom). Thus, I said that they "prefer" working with Nintendo rather than saying that they "always" work...

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

While I don't think Shining Force can be ruled out entirely, it seems to me that Camelot would prefer to keep working with Nintendo and personally it seems like a new Golden Sun is more likely than a new Shining Force. Who knows, if Famicom Detective Club can get a revival, anything can.

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

It's funny you mention that, because I've thought about how Isaac not being an AT in Smash For is probably the best thing to happen to the series since TLA. Without needing to worry about "ATs deconfirm" Isaac fans could vote for him freely and boy, did they. We've gotten shortchanged so many...

True, but I'm of the mind that if Nintendo wants Waluigi, they'll get Waluigi. I hope you're right, but I can't shake the feeling that Waluigi is finally gonna happen.

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

With Lloyd as the only Mii Costume left from Smash For, I'd would be shocked if he didn't make it into the game. That leaves one slot left, which I very well believe would be an Assist Trophy character. The only problem is, without a new game to promote, Isaac loses the popularity contest to...

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

Gotta keep faith somehow :P But I do agree, as nice as it would be for GS to get the FF7 treatment, I'd take any appearance on the Switch. They could bring over the GBA games for $5 and I'd be all over it. The only thing that would sting a bit is being part of GBA NSO, since then the games...

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

It's a shame, too, because I enjoy his content and find them well-researched. He clearly didn't bother to do any research here, though. Edit: I called him out and he responded with this, lol. I said I wasn't offended, merely disappointed.

Tone deaf tweet, tone deaf response. The series isn't dead and this guy's upset because we called him out on it.

I completely agree, SonicLink. I think eventually we'll reach the promised land of a new Golden Sun, but we have to hold strong.

Sunrise Up Again! Isaac for Smash Ultimate DLC

"Stylish" is purposefully vague, but it could fit Golden Sun. I'm not saying it's a given, but given that GS games are typically bombastic and very good-looking for the systems they're on, you could certainly call them stylish.
