Fox Ryu has never been that bad. It's just obnoxious if you're approaching constantly. Up Throw+Up Air and lasers make the matchup hellish to deal with as Ryu. Fox can play it similar to the way Sheik does.

Sheik's best stage is not Smashville. No Sheik player will tell you otherwise.
