I've been having issues with the connection as well. Sometimes it takes a while or just disconnects while entering the Online menu and its sub-menus.

Sounds like the handicap setting was turned on for player 1 controller or so. You would need to check the Match settings before entering the character select screen.

It would be awesome if they added Black Shadow and gave him Melee Ganondorf's kit/moves, slightly modified and improved. It would be a trip to have James McCloud too haha.
