It might not be disproven as such, but it would certainly indicate that this is extremely outdated information. If we get another character from Rhythm heaven I'd be inclined to believe that this leak is from the early planning stage and their rep changed. Hence the lack of a name for Villager...

What's ignorant is your assumption that the application of perceived logic to these characters based on hindsight provides you with the knowledge of how characters are selected. Which it doesn't. Because you're not on the development team, who have consistently included characters NOBODY HAS...

You don't like the hindsight argument because there's no counter to it. The justification of characters such as WFT and Villager have all come through copious application of hindsight, which is evident given that nobody guessed them before the leak. Had there been several leaks including said...
