Ultimate to Melee: Do I Need Shield Drop Notches?

shield drop notches will barely change the positions of your notches. They make shield dropping significantly easier though (As long as the modder is good)

Yoshi infodump : Misinformation regarding the char, underdeveloped stuff, counterplay

cool write up I never knew about the grab release thing on the edge Also, what do you think about using notches/tape to mark the highest values for yoshis variable egg toss zones

    Controlling space agressively with yoshi

Pretty sure the second nair hit because plup thought that he would have hit with the needle. Plup came down without a hitbox because he expected pp to be on the ground. If it were yoshi instead of marth, you place an up air, upsmash, uptilt, or nair beneath the edge of the platform after...

I feel guilty when i make combos or when i win

You should play teams so you feel guilty whether you win or lose. But seriously, if the happiness you get from winning does not outweigh the empathy you have for your opponent, a teammate can help motivate you to play well. Once you are comfortable beating people in doubles, you might not feel...

    Smash rookie

Yeahh I guess youre right. I think I just imagined CIQ wavedashing for all 7 hours of his practice. Its definitely fine to practice perfect wavedashes, but nobody should try for hours at a time. If CIQ practices other stuff in between wavedash practice, I take back what I said.

    Smash rookie

its not that important to be frame perfect

    Computer

Calm, but aggressive. They have a reaction based neutral and an abysmal punish game. 3/10. Might catch ****ty players off guard at a local if their identity as a computer was unknown.

Movement help? I feel stuck in place.

when you practice, you should pretend that your playing another person. Imagine their attacks and space around them.

New to maining Ice Climbers, Any Tips?

start by getting good movement. Wavedashing is your best friend. Practice consecutive full length wavedashes and attacking out of wavedash with jab, grab, fsmash, and turn around downsmash.

    Need riverside practice buddy

Ok. I know a couple guys who play melee at RCC. They do have a facebook page, but its mostly smash 4. I go to UCR, and its pretty much only melee here. I can ask my friend at RCC about melee if you want. Heres the links to the facebook pages: RCC https://www.facebook.com/rccsupersmashclub/...

Why do I suck at the game so much?

New, more difficult things are learned through practice. They require a lot more mental energy early on in the learning process. Once you master these, and can use them without thinking, it will be much easier to focus on what your opponent is doing. Your friend is good against you precisely...
