I don't have any new technology to try, but I'll do my best to keep up! Our match isn't scheduled for the stream, so we should try to find someone to record a video for us.

At 3:13, you gave up and killed yourself. DON'T EVER GIVE UP! Seriously, don't ever give up! You can mix up your squall recovery in ways to help you survive against a peach, even if you're way out there (e.g. go high 3 times, then go low and they miss you). The conditioning aspect is...

I short hop by flicking the edge of the X button with my thumb, tilting up on the joystick, and pressing Z. It gives me the fastest possible timing (considering the way that I short hop) but you have to be sure not to press Z too soon, or else you'll get a JC grab.

Here's an old video that shows some of the basic chain grabs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPTFpBWZbIA

OH YEAH, Derf.MW reminded me; catch Peach's turnips a lot! Ice Climbers are really good at doing "the Armada" (Hold a stitch face and attack without throwing it for a while)! You can ice block from a distance, and squall when up close (desynching a blizzard with the backup while threatening to...

Good stuff! I really like your movement, especially with the solo Ice Climber! I have a few DI things to share. For the normal dthrow->dair->regrab, I find that it's much harder for the peach to SDI out of it if you do a short hop with the backup climber (http://youtu.be/-7KIZmmQcDo?t=19s)...

As you play more and more, you'll catch on to quirky things that the backup climber does, which are super important to know! Go to the Ice Climber page here and read all of the guides; there's a bunch of great information there! Lastly, watch videos! Check out Wobbles, Fly Amanita, Chu Dat...

Thanks! It's really important to get comfortable with their movement, combos, and the backup climber. Move around with them (dash dancing, wave dashing, short hopping, ledge dashing, etc.) learn some desynchs (spot dodge/roll->iceblock/blizzard, whiff grab-iceblock/blizzard, nanapult) and some...

    Give me some tips

I really like that you aren't too dependent on grabs. One of my problems is that I go for too many grabs, and my game becomes one-dimensional. The best thing about not being to dependent on grabs, however, is that you get more grabs, so it's important to have great punishes! Learning all of...

EVO 2015: Melee or Smash 4?

I think it's hard to say much about Smash 4 since it still hasn't come out for WiiU, and even the 3DS version won't have had enough time to be well enough understood by the time EVO selection comes around to warrant inclusion. I love Melee; I think it's highly competitive and very deep (I play...

    ALASKA Smash Thread

I got a bunch of people into it at the Fine Arts Camp, including the new SHS band teacher, so hopefully there will be some people there to play with! I'm also coming back in December, so we'll have to play then! I'll send you a PM.

    ALASKA Smash Thread

Hey everybody. I'm from NorCal, currently going to school in NYC. I come to Sitka, AK for a month every summer and would love to have people to practice with while I'm there! Any Sitka smashers? I'll be there from June 14th to July 13th.

Secondary ICCs to deal with sheik

I say stick with the character you love! I've been going up against so many Peach and Samus players in tournaments lately it makes my head spin, but I keep fighting and working on the match-ups; Ice Climbers for life! (Or in your case, Ganon for life!)
