Joker is a perfect example of why 3rd party characters (like HIM) don't belong in Super Smash Bros.

... opinions are like mixtapes~ Nobody wants to hear yours 'u' (mine included '3') jokes aside, it's fine you feel that way. 3rd parties are fine. No real reason to dislike them outside of wanting to be contrary for the sake of being contrary. I have a friend who only got smash because of Joker...

    Male and Female, who’s next?

If we get more that's fine and all but it's not necessary to focus on gender just for the sake of adding more female representation. I'm more interested in what a character brings to the table and the franchise they represent rather than what chromosomes they have. Harmless conversation I'm sure...

Theoretical: Replacing some of the Echo Fighter's Special Attacks!

Remember that Ness and Lucas both can reflect projectiles with their forward smash it'd be fine~ but i do feel you on Dmus having a suicide move

Making characters more faithful to canon is making some of them less fun to play

I can respect that you enjoyed the old moves and animations of those characters. The topic about things becoming more canon doesn't equate to them being more fun is... subjective. Some people like it, some people don't. That's just how it goes. Like it or lump it. Bowser... it is what it is...

Sucks that Smash is better without items

honestly, item control is integral to the games learning curve for certain characters, to the extent that I'd welcome a Green shells only match. Green Shells are easily the most fair and most competitively viable item. They're so versatile. Maybe having food on as well... shells and food sounds...

What ledge system do you prefer, ledge hogging or ledge trumping?

No one "deserves" to come back. They'll only come back if you let them. Why not complain about recoveries being so good instead of the ledge system? Recoveries are great (except a few) for the most part, which is a better environment for melee and brawl style ledges. Still, attempting to come...

What ledge system do you prefer, ledge hogging or ledge trumping?

edge hogging was a mistake. makes zero sense to prevent another character from grabbing a ledge just because it is occupied. characters in melee had crap recoveries anyway so why make it even harder to get back if your opponent just hugs the ledge It does create a risk for recovery (as if...

Sucks that Smash is better without items

the instant kill items are a bit too much. There used to be like one in each game now there's like four of them. How is that fun? At least with the dragoon and day break you have to collect them which turns the match into a fun little scramble for the pieces. However, some of these items purely...

Quick survey: Would you prefer Smash's simpler controls be replaced by more classic arcade fighting game controls?

more power to you for enjoying it. Still, if I had even more to be able to do, I wouldn't hate it. It just means more to remember. Which isn't difficult. Then again, complicated input commands aren't the only way to give us more to do. Simply giving moves variants by charging them or just...

Quick survey: Would you prefer Smash's simpler controls be replaced by more classic arcade fighting game controls?

Smashes simpler commands are fine as they are so replacing them with more classic controls is actually not an ideal idea. However, supplementing what we already have with even more options for attack, defense and utility options would be interesting. to be fair here.... wouldn't having command...

Quick survey: Would you prefer Smash's simpler controls be replaced by more classic arcade fighting game controls?

I mentioned simplicity twice because I mentioned it once in two games. Once in ARMS and again in Pokken. The double mention of simplicity for ARMS was explaining the gimmick of the motion controls to show off the joy con grip as a function rather than another nintendo being "innovative" for the...

Quick survey: Would you prefer Smash's simpler controls be replaced by more classic arcade fighting game controls?

I mentioned ARMS in a previous post, but honestly Pokken does a better job with its system than ARMS does with the phase shifting dynamic. Either way, those are both arena fighters and not "traditional" fighting games by any means. There's nothing inherently "wrong" with 2D fighting games...

Quick survey: Would you prefer Smash's simpler controls be replaced by more classic arcade fighting game controls?

... all great games but they aren't produced by Nintendo. That was the point of the conversation. I was replying back to another individual who said "But What's the Point of Two Nintendo Fighting games" To be fair, my tldr summarized my response poorly since I worded it without context making...
