Thats what i do, i short hop upb. I only punch when they are on the ground and the have to roll somewhere, punch as you said covers the entire the platform so it is an awesome tech chase option. You can also up-b as a tech chase too

While i do think something needs to be done to MK. Whether its stage, cp'ing, or whatever. This idea is a bit drastic and changes too many things. If metaknight can not use his B button, i find it as too hard of a nerf to be placed on MK. What about pressure off stage? bad di? he cant do...

the upb from platform one? he can do it on SV too. you just have to get a running start, you can stand still and up-b then fall off, like you can on BF platforms.
