I understand the being upset, because it's lame that a generic enemy was picked over fan favorite characters, but I"ll be honest, Piranha Plant looks kinda fun actually, and is totally the kind of WTF character Sakurai likes to do, in hindsight.

While I really wish it was something larger (either a character or even an assist) I am really happy that Shantae is still being acknowledged in game.

I wasn't saying I agreed or disagreed with him. I was just asking if that's where the "Serebii said it's fake" posts are stemming from, or if he actually commented that he believed it to be fake.

I noticed people saying Serebii said the leak was fake. Did he make more posts on the subject than the two I saw? The last I heard, he was explicitly refraining from calling it fake, but was saying that in a leak like this he feels the burden of proof falls on "team real" and not those wishing...

Not trying to argue on whether Assassin's Creed or Rayman is more relevant, but a main series game in the last five years, that just got a rerelease last year, and a spinoff also hitting last year (with new content for that spinoff that launched earlier this year) does not equal a dead franchise.

I see that you keep talking trash about Ken and about how worthless he is, and I'm curious how much you know about him? I only ask this because I feel like a lot of people see him simply as American Ryu, which while is basically what he is gameplay wise in the first game, is not a fair...

There's a couple of problems with that. First, I'm not even sure we WILL have a Mewtwo situation, that was largely announced as a reason to buy both games which isn't a factor this time. And secondly, you want a character that is for the most part universally liked and guaranteed to drive sales...

As amazing as that would be, Hawlucha is already a Face Luchador and aside from high-flying it'd be difficult to convey "Face" in a design. Plus I think everyone would be okay with no Fighting type starter for a while.

My top two remaining wanted newcomers, someone I have very fond memories of in Ken, and Geno for the community would be absolutely amazing. Mallow getting representation would be awesome. Spirits as Smash Run would be disappointing, but that's only based on the expectations we all built up. If...

That's why I've always been fairly confident that mid November is likely the latest we will be getting news. They don't want leaks this time, and people will start to get the game in their hands around that time. EDIT: Quoted the right person but the wrong post, oops.

Since Smash comes out super early in December, November will be when people start to get their hands on the game. Reviewers and such mostly, but also potentially people who are not supposed to have access to it and would be more likely to leak.

Out of curiosity, why not include the Atlus reps in the Sega section in this theoretical game?
