Have you tried using double jump air dodge? Works wonders against setups like puff back throw as well Immediate double jump dair is dope but it can be risky if they're at low percent/ it trades etc. I've killed myself going for it when I get sent to far away to recover LOL

Anyone have advice on wavedashing backwards out of shine (while facing forward)? I think the trick is to quarter circle forward during the shine then backwards during the wavedash. This is the method I'm gonna start practicing with unless someone else has a more practical way of doing it...

What's the difference between Peach going for jabs vs going for a grab or downsmash after FC fair? I'm tempted to mess around with shine OOS against this. Buffering roll with cstick sounds good but then ---> Apparently buffering roll loses to a frame perfect grab, but you can still spot...

Falco vs Peach neutral When neither character has distinct positional advantage, what are the strategies and mix ups? As far as I'm concerned, Falco will try to lock down Peach with lasers and set up for aerials / shines. To counteract this, Peach can float above the lasers and come down with...

I had some questions regarding Peach vs Falco specifically at the ledge. There's this peach player I play with from time to time and one scenario that keeps popping up is Peach being at the ledge (grabbing it herself). The Peach player would ledge drop and double jump back on stage mixing in...

Yall does falco really have a chain grab on IC's at low percent with forward throw ?? From Wobble's blog in 2009 - "It's been awhile since I've fought really fast Falcos; they're scary. You can also see Axe using a lot of f-throw, which (for some reason) makes Nana drop her shield when he...

    PPMD's Falco Discussion Thread

A while ago I was playing friendlies with a Falcon that would roll when I started pressuring their shield. I'm thinking that a good option to do against this is to shoot a laser in place to their new current position and chase them down with an aerial (keeping the advantage?). Another thing I...

Not a necessarily a Falco post, but I wasn't sure where else to post this to get some help. I feel as though smash has certain unwritten laws. People talk about the rock paper scissors aspect of the game, which does exist, but I never see any discussion about the act of positioning itself. In...

Thoughts on using cross up rolls as Falco? This might be more of a smash 4 thing but I was thinking maybe if your opponent is wasting their frames trying to zone you out, you can potentially roll into them with your invulnerability frames and get an up tilt / shine
