    Official Competitive Character Impressions 2.0

MkLeo usually brought back in losers, getting upset a few times during his Ultimate career. Though I'll agree, getting 3-0d from not a top 10 player is pretty astonishing. Joker's down gun nerf is definitely noticeable. I'll think how significant the nerfs are more after the tournament ends. If...

I will personally wait a few more months until I (or we?) can give final opinions on Byleth. I like seeing everyone's opinions about certain characters, but this one so far seems to be inconsistent. The slowest DLC fighter we've had in Ultimate so far... in a game where a good amount of fighters...

Fox :ultfox:, while he didn't get a bigger shield unlike the majority of the cast, got his animation when blocking fixed (it doesn't revert to Smash 4 shielding animation), which helps a lot in certain MUs like Pikachu's :ultpikachu:bair or Terry's :ult_terry: BnB jab x2 > Power Dunk combo. He's...

Like how Leffen said, Young Link :ultyounglink: having a faster jab is definitely a great buff for him. From 6 > 4 frame startup, which helps with the grounded games since his other grounded moves unremarkable startup, it's more solid option in neutral, is more reliable as "get off me" and most...

Mr E finally breaking the Fox curse, beat Light 3-0. He definitely took the advantage of Fox's weaknesses with juggling and edgeguarding. I do feel bad for Light though... The sets vs Dill and Maister almost definitely made him upset and tired.

Well... in Smash, some non top tiers do get nerfed because of the casual community. Notable examples are Smash 4 Little Mac :4littlemac:and Smash Ultimate King K. Rool :ultkrool:. Them giving nerfs to low tiers is not the best decision, I'll agree. But at least K. Rool got some useful buffs to...

Would I be wrong if I said that Zelda's :ultzelda: Din Fire is terrible? If it was more solid... maybe she would be more relevant, with her edge guarding and ledge trapping being improved (but I don't expect it to ever reach Snake's :ultsnake: level)

Based on the upcoming patch 6.1.1 and Amiibo tourney, it makes me think that we might not get any new fighters released until February 2020. Which is not a bad thing, but when others Tweeting about the upcoming Nintendo Direct happening likely after Pokemon Direct, it makes me kinda impatient...

Rate Their Chances - Smash Ultimate Edition! Day 672: Five Most Likely First and Third Parties for Smash 6, and Final Goodbyes

I shouldn't have put so much detail but I was given the opportunity so I decided to go wild (I know I could've described this on another thread). The concept is probably TMI and the moveset could've been simpler, but after the release of Hero, I always thought how next DLC fighters could get...

Rate Their Chances - Smash Ultimate Edition! Day 672: Five Most Likely First and Third Parties for Smash 6, and Final Goodbyes

Lora and Jin Chance: <1% I don't think this needs a lot of explanation. Even though Torna sold well, the main protagonists are basically in shadow compared to Rex and Pythra. Which is a shame, because the former two are one of the cutest and lovable couple in my recent memory. Want: 100%...

It's true that he has inconsistent multi-hits all over the board... It's more like he would be "completely honest" if every move worked as it should. I do think that getting stronger side specials would make them a tiny bit less honest, but for how laggy that move is, it's not a big deal. I'm...

    Official Competitive Character Impressions 2.0

Pits are definitely fun to play and interesting to watch (at least for me), but somewhat lackluster representation hurts, it would help me if there were more players so I could have more VoDs to watch. Also about Earth... How long do they need to wait to play Smash again? Also I read the...

It sounds more like that they have more options to edgeguard, and thus it's easier for them to go offstage and do it? I know that these four characters have great edgeguarding potential, but I wouldn't count Pits out either. In a few cases a simple arrow is enough to gimp the opponent too...

Sadly, the jab 2 not being true until high percentages is actually a "feature", it's mentioned in the tips, and it's going to remain that way. The tips mention about the player running after hitting the jab 1... At least it has low endlag, but it's far from being useful for sending the opponent...

An interesting case where tap jump might be more viable. But also... this isn't the first demonstration of footstool intangibility exploit. Captain L made a video about it about 9 months ago:
