QFT By far the most annoying lvl 9 CPU besides Olimar.

PT is more complex than Olimar, but only because he switches Pokemon when they die. Olimar's pikmin strategies are better applied during fights with slow characters like Ganon.

That happens to me, but I think it's only the first attack in the battle. I only have that problem when I have 3 Pikmin or less. Weird.

Meta Knight is a pain with Olimar. Don't try Right or Left Smashing him, especially when he's using his *** annoying sword barrage thingy. You'll just lose a pikmin. Try short hopping and a Dair. That's what I do and it works most of the time. Never fought a decent Zelda, so I wouldn't know...

You're online but you can't get past the practice mode? Weird. If you go to nintendo.com, they have a useful troubleshooter just for SSBB. You might want to poke around there. Make sure you're connected by going to Spectator Mode before playing an online match. It saves time.
