Namco should just straight up create a Tales fighting game in the Smash style. XD All these ideas for certain characters are awesome!

I wouldn't be angry. What would make me happy is that there'll be some form of Tales rep as a character. That being said, Sakurai has said in the past that Lloyd would be the one to make it into Smash, so I would think that them choosing Yuri would indeed be a drop of the ball.
