Smash has more crossover (RPG, puzzle, casual) gamers because it's not a traditional fighter. Traditional fighter players and traditional RPG players are not the most interconnected set, otherwise. Simple.

I was playing fighters on the comp. scene at 15, so no... Then again, I'm almost 22 now, so I grew up in the SFII heyday where you either played the 18 year olds crowded around the machine, or you didn't play. Guess whose Guile upset a whole lot of 18 year olds at age 8? ^_^
