That's precisely what I'm confused about - the settings seem fine, but I feel like some matches are laggier than others. The only other factor I can think of is the opponent's computer, but I'm not sure if PC lag gets synced to the other player.

I've been getting into SSBM netplay but my lag has varied greatly so far. The game runs at a smooth 60fps outside of netplay (i7 930 and Radeon HD5850), and I've only been playing with people with around 30ms ping (pad buffer 2 or 3). Some games have been smooth, but others have had lag spikes...

Anyone know what percentages Marth can ground tech a few common moves at (Fox usmash, Marth dair or tipper fsmash, etc)? Single or double-stick SDI.

Yeah, I can't imagine melee outplacing whatever other games are competing for the EVO spot. I think the only community smaller than us is like... melty blood.

So... you've driving the whole way on your own then? I'm just saying if you or James or whoever wants another driver that I can help. More importantly, how many cars are going and how much space do we have? Like, I've never even crossed the border by car before and I have no idea how to do any...

For the record, I can tag along as an extra driver (no one wants to drive 8hrs on their own). I just don't want to arrange everything myself.
