Toon Link's Explosive Side (WIP)

Toon Link's Explosive Side (WIP)

Game Versions
Smash 3DS, Smash Wii U
Toon link, the hero of the Minish, Light, Wind, and… Trains (C’mon Nintendo… Trains?!). Though it may not look like it, Tink is a force to be reckoned with in smash brothers because of his master sword, projectiles, speed, solid recovery, and (especially) bombs. We will be focusing on his bombs for this guide. Keep in mind; this is my first guide, so it may not be that good. This information I’m giving you is (IMO) the most useful information to his bombs.

With Toon link’s bombs, you should go all out and use them frequently with no mercy. Toon link’s bombs have a number of uses that I will discuss individually.

1. Useful for making a wall

2. Useful for mindgames

3. Useful for annoying your opponents

4. Useful for setups

Useful for making a wall
This is pretty straightforward… Throw them at your opponent a lot to keep them away. Switch it up with other projectiles as well. This strategy is great for giving a little more damage at a safe distance, but watch out for the lag you get from grabbing one.

Useful for mindgames
There are a number of ways to play with your opponent’s mind a little bit with Tink’s bombs.
  1. If you have a bomb in hand and are recovering back on stage, you can airdodge and grab the ledge with Z while keeping the bomb. You can use this for getting your opponent away from the ledge by jumping away and throwing it at them, throwing the bomb down if you get up by jumping and they are close to the ledge, or keep it for future use.
  2. Run-Shield-Grab if you have a bomb in hand to mess your opponent up a bit. You can use this as another way to approach.
  3. Jump-Z with a bomb in hand. You can use this to surprise you opponents and set them up for something else
You should always mix it up and try to read what your opponent will do to see what strategy to use. Make your own strategies along with these to really mess with your opponent.

Useful for annoying your opponents
Those bombs are so annoying if you use them right. This makes your opponent make more mistakes and gives you an advantage. (It’s also funny to see people rage >:D)

Useful for setups (WIP)

I recommend that you watch this video to help you (This video is in brawl, but it will still help): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQvsf_1JMyE&index=1&list=PL6IqfzmEYo71Z8U3djlESYwv7J8JM_hBn

That is it, thank you so much for reading my guide! Please give me a review to let me know what you think, and let me know if you have any questions or advice!

The Mind Games part was pretty helpful since I always just throw the bomb after I pick it. Now I know to wait and look for an opening. So thanks man
That's awesome! Glad to hear! Let me know if you have any questions about Tink and I'll help you out!
I found that an Up-B on the ground with a bomb in hand works quite well. Otherwise, good tips.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
"With Toon link’s bombs, you should go all out and use them frequently with no mercy"

and the "useful for annoying section"

You are the cancer of For Glory, teach people to play without being a spamming douche

Atleast you explain a good technique and provide a link to a video...
I'm just trying to help people win with toon link. I've found that those things help, so I added it. I'm sorry if you don't like it :)
New to the game and Tink is my main man. much obliged!
Awesome! Let me know if you need more tips, and I'll be glad to help!
Pretty good for your first guide. As a Tink main who doesn't use his bombs too often this is very helpful.
Thank you! I'm glad it helped!
