Every Friday, the Georgia scene will have the opportunity to convene at Yomi Gaming's arcade to battle it out in stacked locals for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Wii-U!

Venue fee - $7
Game fee - $5 for Singles, $5 for Doubles
Spectator fee - $5 (venue fee is void)

Singles and doubles will be hosted for Smash Melee and Smash Wii-U.

The venue fee will be completely disregarded for the first two Smash Wii-U players that are willing to bring along complete set-ups to aid in the tournament's progression. This includes discs, consoles, TV/monitors, etc. After the first two set-ups are brought in, all follow-up Smash Wii-U players will have to pay the venue fee and the game fee. This discount is notapplicable to Melee players as we have more than enough Melee set-ups.

Sign-ups begin at 5:00 P.M. EST and close at 7:30. Brackets will be finalized at 8:00 P.M. EST and the tournament will start immediately afterwards.

Players are responsible for bringing their own controllers to participate. Yomi Gaming will not provide extra controllers.

Taken from our website's event page, here are the rules for Smash Wii-U and Smash Melee.

Super Smash Bros Wii-U

***** THIS IS A BYOC EVENT (BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER)
– Nintendo Wii-U will be the tournament console
– each game will be timed at six minutes
– players begin each match with two stock apiece
– the tournament will be run in singles and doubles
– custom moves, items, equipment, handicap, and pause features will all be disabled, and the Damage Ratio will be locked at 100%
– all matches will be played in a best two-out-of-three format, except for the finals which will all be three-out-of-five
– Mii Fighters will be disabled
– Ammibos will be disabled
– the beginning levels to choose from are Battlefield (Miiverse), Final Destination, Lylat Cruise, Smashville and Town & City
– levels to counter-pick with are Dream Land 64 and Duck Hunt
– Omega stages are legal for tournament play
– character/stage selection process is as follows: both players each must ban a beginning level apiece for the first match before agreeing to a level. After the first match reaches its conclusion, if the loser opts to change their character and the stage, the winner bans a beginning level before the loser chooses another stage, then they return to character select. The winner is allowed to change character regardless of the previous game’s outcome, but they must select their character first before the loser selects theirs.
– a stage where a player has already acquired a win cannot be chosen unless both players agree to it
– stages that are not available for selection cannot be chosen for a match. If so, a double DQ will result
– players are allowed up to one minute between matches to reconsider their strategies before continuing
– in the event where a Sudden Death match occurs, a new match must be started with a time limit of 2 minutes and one stock apiece for the players. The winner of that match will acquire a win for their score

Super Smash Bros. Melee

***** THIS IS A BYOC EVENT (BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER)
– Nintendo Gamecube will be the tournament console
– all games will be timed at eight minutes
– items and the pause feature will be disabled
– players begin each match with four stock apiece
– the tournament will be run in singles and doubles
– all matches will be played in a best two-out-of-three format, except for the finals which will all be three-out-of-five
– the beginning levels to choose from are Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield and Dream Land
– the only counter-pick level available is Pokemon Stadium
– wobbling is legalized for tournament play whereas freezing and infinite staling are not legal
– for the first match, each player must choose a beginning level to ban, and then agree upon a stage selection. For the second match, if the loser opts to change their character and/or the level, the winner bans a stage first, then the loser must announce the level he will choose before both players return to character select. The winner is allowed to change character regardless of the previous game’s outcome, but they must select their character first before the loser selects theirs.
– the winner is not locked to their character for the next match, but they must make their selection before the loser chooses their character
– for any matches where the win condition is to take three victories, stage bans are NOT implemented
– a stage where a player has already won cannot be chosen unless both players agree to it
– the maximum rest period between games is one minute
