Rules and Participant Agreement

________________

General Rules:
1. Be respectful to other participants, tournament organizers, and arcade staff. We are all here to have a good time.
2. Events may be cancelled for any reason. This can include lack of participants, hardware malfunction, and lack of time.
3. Custom and 3rd party controllers are allowed as long as there is no way to enable automatic inputs (Ex: turbo button)
4. Wireless controllers are allowed, however, if there is a malfunction during a match, you will forfeit that match. Make sure your controller is in a working condition with a full charge before the event. We suggest using a wired controller to avoid any issues.
5. All compatible controllers for Project M and Sm4sh are allowed. If you feel like using a sideways Wiimote, be our guest. Controls are allowed to be changed before the match starts.
6. We may change rules that are based on Smash Board’s recommended ruleset if we feel if it is necessary. We will warn players in advance.

If you fail to follow these rules, you will first be warned and that match will be forfeited. If you continue to not follow these rules, you may be asked to leave the tournament without a refund.

If you wish to play the games at the arcade that are NOT part of the tournament, an extra $7.00 is required to the arcade itself.

*Note that Sm4sh events may not have all DLC characters and stages. If they do have them, feel free to use on them, but it is recommended to plan on using a vanilla character.

Event Specific Rules

Minimum Participants: 5
Maximum Participants: 25
We use Smash Board’s tournament rules and settings. The current rules are listed below:

Melee Randoms
1. This side event uses the same rules as Melee Singles, however, in each match a random character is chosen. This is done by first turning off all player slots in the fighter select screen, and then setting it to a CPU player. The selected CPU character is always random, so this is how the fighter is selected. You will then change the CPU to a player and start the match. You will repeat this until the match is over. Best out of 3.
