So, you have already watched the Alabasta Arc. Did you like it? It was crazy seeing Luffy take down a warlord that early on in the story.

You can also play Smash Flash 2 to get Luffy himself. (Goku, Naruto, and Ichigo too).

Yeah I really liked it. Granted there were some slow moments (like the Little Garden arc and the early desert episodes), but it had a great payoff in the end.

Also I bawled my eyes out at the very end of EP 129 when THAT SONG (you know the one) started playing as the Straw Hats left Alabasta. That scene and two specific moments from Chopper's backstory were the biggest tearjerkers for me.

I still can't wrap it around my head how a pre-timeskip no Gear 2nd/3rd/4th/no Haki Luffy could defeat Crocodile that early on. Crocodile was a Yonko Commander level threat and Luffy really shouldn't have beaten him. Plot armor really did give Luffy the win there lol!

Well, more tearjerking moments are coming your way. Plus, Crocodile is just the beginning of Luffy's problems. Luffy's going to be battling more fearsome foes in the future.

Oh yeah, avoid the One Piece wiki at all cost because it is filled with spoilers you do NOT want to see.

Do you plan on reading the manga? The manga is a year ahead of the anime so it's a bit farther ahead in the story. Like, right now it's at chapter 982.

I'm watching One Piece through the English dub (Funimation one, not the god awful 4Kids one). Once I reach the max amount of English episodes I'll probably switch to sub. After that I'll probably switch to the manga so I can be fully up to date and avoid any spoilers.

Good thinking because the Funimation Dub is way behind the sub and the manga. Funimation delayed the Dub for like 3 years and now they're just starting with Punk Hazard. Punk Hazard was almost a decade ago.

I really wish Toei or Oda didn't give 4Kids the One Piece dubbing license first because if they gave it to Funimation from the start the Dub would already be at Whole Cake Island or Wano right now. The Dub is over 300 episodes behind because of 4Kids.

Yeah I feel like One Piece would definitely be more popular and up to date in America if Funimation got it first instead of 4Kids. I looked back to see how 4Kids covered the darker story arcs and their edits are just unforgivable. The Arlong Park arc in particular got it the worst.

Funnily enough, I still remember the rap intro after seeing it once many years back and I still have it in my head.
