    The question is whether Sakurai counts virtual pets as video games or not. He might consider them to be toys instead thus making Digimon ineligible for Smash.

    The website's roster got updated to add Banana Guard, Jason, and Joker. It was also heavily revamped to give each character their own page and you can now also filter characters by class and franchise. I also believe that Agent Smith will be an Assassin class character.

    Yeah. It would just be a bad financial decision. I don't think people would want to spend $70 on a game they already have that only adds a few new characters and stages.

    Nintendo doesn't think the same way as the rest of the industry. They mostly do their own thing and are not the type to follow trends.

    I don't think it would be as profitable because the audience they're targeting it to has already bought Ultimate. And it would cost more, with it being 70 dollars as opposed to 60. I don't think people would want to spend more to buy a game they already own.

    An Ultimate Deluxe is so unnecessary in my opinion. If the Switch 2 really is backwards compatible you can just play Ultimate on it as is. Honestly I'm done with Ultimate and I want to see something new.

    I don't think all the datamined characters are actually gonna make it in. Plans may have changed between the original beta release and now. Banana Guard, Jason, and Agent Smith were not a part of the original datamines and yet they got in.

    We also don't even know if Prime 4 will ever even come out. The game's currently vaporware so who knows if it will ever actually see a release.
