Imagine every character having an alternate costume that outfits them in a Smash Bros. tournament uniform.
For example, Little Mac can be given a costume where he's wearing a hoodie that resembles the Smash Bros. Invitational robes. Samus can be given redesigned battle armour optimized for brawling with the Smash Bros. logo engraved onto the metal plates. Heck, maybe we can give Dr. Mario a skin that makes him look like a field medic who helps out the fighters that lost too many stocks.
That should probably give you the basic idea. It might be hard to think of these tournament clothes for every fighter on the roster, but if you like the sound of this, I'd love to hear your ideas!
