lost it at Kyle Krew. 10/10 results thread.

Watching the tournament was super hype. Wish I could have been there.

Next big tournament we should try and get some Canadian commentators on for Top 8 of Wii U. Doom and Rapture are cool at all, but it's a Canadian tournament we can't let them hog all the mic time.

I enjoyed the tourney, shoutouts to Astro for that Doc and Kalamazhu for sitting down and trying out Smash 4 with some friendlies with me.

I guess with the game being new, things are settling, but damn some pools were just brutal in Wii U. Saw some good players lose sets (TO Joe's pool was specially stacked).

First day off from work/school since the event, so its gotta be shoutouts time will add to this incase im forgetting someone

TCU staff: amazing job, so many hours spent prepping for, during, and after the event. From tournament organization, streaming, floor planning, and more you are the core responsible for elevating the event experience for everyone in person and online, cant stress enough that TCU wouldnt be possible without you

EGE: always a pleasure working together and thanks for making the long drive out and helping with all the wii u stations, heres to a bright future for the smash scene in Canada! looking forward to our next event, I have a feeling it will be sooner rather than later

LPKW: if I paid you in hugs you would be a rich man eh , so dope that we have been going at it together since the first national we hosted(GOML)! thanks for making the melee event possible & I cant wait for the next LP tourney, already know the boys got your back and will be in attendance!!

Midwest: Thanks for showing support to the event and continuing the amazing rivalry you guys have with the Canucks, was great to have you at this and showing the world once again not to sleep on Michigan. Really nice guys that I hope come back even more motivated for GOML 2015!

Tristate: You guys were the backbone of the wii u singles hype, from causing upsets, to holding it down on the mic, to yelling at the top of your lungs in the crowd. Love you guys and will be visiting soon. ALSO THAT DK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ottawa/Quebec: For making the trek down to the event and being upstanding people as usual. We didnt get too talk too much at the event, but I enjoyed being able to see you guys compete & the brief chats we did have. Special shoutouts to SAUS for that Linku hypu

Hamilton: for being the homies and helping with security for the event and wii u brackets, I hadnt seen a bunch of you in a really long time so im glad that we could catch up with each other. Ill be back for the runny senor Meek.

Sudbury/North Bay: polite and friendly dudes who always had something nice to say, thanks for making the trip out here and supporting EMG. Special congrats to those of you who made it to finals day, good stuff.

Ontario Melee community: for surprising the Americans who attended for Smash4 with your willingness to support/appreciate the game. I know there were a few who wanted to see more Melee on the stream before top 8, but to the majority of you who were ok with letting another game have some spotlight too and helped bring the hype for it, you're awesome and I couldnt be more proud to see the collabs between our scenes. Its understated just how cool it is that our scenes mesh so well, were one of the few communities that are homies with one another no matter what game you come from.

Ontario Smash4 community: Still have a long way to go and lot to learn for sure, the perks of being such a new scene. Keep hosting events for your scene to build interest for the game and use this tournament as motivation to hit the lab and level up. There is a lot of potential here, especially for the new players.

Everyone: thanks for attending and I hope you enjoyed yourselves. These events can only get bigger and better from here and im stoked to be able to share in the Smash memories with you all. We put a lot of effort into helping to grow the community through these events and you make all the hours worth it when we see how much you enthusiasm you still have for these competitions.

Hello everyone! Sorry I'm so late with these, part of the reason is due to exams and the other due to procrastination :p

This tourney didn't receive much buzz, but dude... those Smash 4 matches on YouTube were amazing. Super hype. I was screaming several times during the tournament videos.

Great job, Will. You done Donkey Kong proud! I'm excited to see that your DK has improved a lot since the 3DS days. All the way to Grand Finals... I was rooting for you the whole time! There aren't many DK players to look up to, sadly. You're like Mr. Donkey Kong, right now. I won't mind if you feel the need to pick up a secondary character, though it seems you don't need to right now!

Also, congrats to Ally! Much respect for maining Mario and representing your country. I will always have respect for you after I saw you and M2K going toe-to-toe in PM. Your Ike was very inspirational to me. Although you don't use Ike in Smash 4, I see shades of it in how you use Shulk. Thanks for pushing the Mario and Shulk game forward.

Hats off to M2K, too! Thanks for being such a good sport and putting up a great fight! The Sonic ditto set was pretty hype. Kind of astounded that Will took a set from you, but you took it in stride and were a worthy opponent.
