*ponder* another one would be the sealing grounds (lozss)

Although i kinda imagine that one being a forced scrolling level more like big blue :/

Y'know, you do bring a very solid point. With that, I also hope they bring back N64 stages, because Hyrule Castle, Mushroom Kingdom, Dream Land, and Metal Cave would be great additions. You know what? Just bring back all of them, since they were all really cool in the day. Yeah, you'll have Yoshi's Island and Sector Z banned to hell (among other stages), but it would be great for the sake of nostalgia. Plus, the music for Metal Cave is still among my most favorite tracks in Smash 64.

Knowing Nintendo and their gimmicks, it wouldn't surprise me. Though I can imagine this would be something completely optional, or is used as one of those special modes, like Super Sudden Death, Giant Brawl, etc..
Yea the they should bring all that back

When it comes to stages, I only really want Phendrana Drifts, a new Sonic stage (preferably something like City Escape, Carnival Night Zone, Egg Fleet or Red Mountain), and most of the 64 and Melee stages to brought back and revamped

I hope the great fox stage still in the game. It is simply the best ever

Super Mario Bros. 1-4
Mario party stage
Another Mario Kart stage

Also I think would be a great idea to develop downloadable stages in the future

One of the reason because Sakurai decided to reeboot the series I think was getting rid of the old stages and make spaces for all new ones. Some of which, I bet, will vaguely resemble the old stages but they will be different. For exemple, there will probably be another stage scrolling vertically, and another one scrolling orrizzontally, and another one changing shape. But there will be not "classic" stages anymore.
Just the double of all new stages.

I would love to see City Escape appear. I wonder how it would work, I always imagined the big hills at the begining of the levels where sonic is boarding down them. That would be kind of weird though unless it is a moving stage. or Maybe it would just be a relatively simple stage with city escape platforms.

I hope they make more megasize-stages like temple of tloz. A lot of memorable battles with my friends has happened there. Also stages where you can have strategies. Like a stage with a lot of walls

There are so many stages that I would like to return. But I guess my most wanted would be DL64 bring that back that was such a great legal stage.

Not sure if anyone else has brought this up, but when Brawl was coming out, I was really excited for the stage breaking they promised, but it wasn't a good mechanic, I hope they improve this, it was horrible, but It felt hardly used & very distracting, they can do better with the mechanic

They only used it for what 4 stages and only 2stages executed it perfectly shadow mosses and the ice climber stage if you can consider it a fully destructible stage.

You know, I did have a stage idea, involving the Reznor boss fights...

Basically, you'd fight on moving platforms, and as time passes, a few Reznors will pop up on some random platforms. The Reznors can spit out fireballs, and will damage anyone who touches them directly, but hitting their platforms from below will knock them out.

Thats a great idea and seeing it brings up new possibilities does anyone object to mid - battle boss fights example : the new Mario stage for ssb4 if players fight for too long there Petey piranha comes too wreck havoc on the players. Players must work together for a short time to defeat it. Unless that was your intention in your post.

Basically, the Reznors would be stage hazards that you can remove. In fact, if you don't remove them quickly, only one platform may be Reznor-free.

That's a cool concept, although I think I'd rather see Bowser's Castle become the stage, while the Reznors can become a mini-boss fight during the Adventure Mode (possibly on a Bowser's Castle level to boot).

Maybe it could be treated as a DLC stage then.

Mario:

Bowser's Castle is long overdue. Galaxy 1 & 2 need a stage.

Donkey Kong:

Gangplank Galleon seems like the best choice. They could have a DKCR stage like Sunset Shore. No more jungles.

Metroid:

No rising lava, no Other M. More Prime stuff would be nice. Phendrana, Elysia, Phaaze, Aether (with a dark/light gimmick) are all good choices.

Kirby:

Bring back Fountain of Dreams.

Pokemon:

Bring back Saffron City.

Something I've always wanted, but to my despair will never see, is a World of Goo stage. A giant, jiggly Goo tower waaaay up in the air. Maybe some Balloon Goo Balls get attached and the top platform floats around letting you see more of the world, then it drops you in a new location.

The atmosphere of that game is like Dr. Seuss meets apocalypse. Darn you, obstacles of third party content.

And yes Other M. Yes.

Random generated stages

I was playing through the great maze in SSE today and when I was versing the evil versions of all the characters I got this idea. Basically what would happen is that the stage itself would be flat by default. Then there would be platforms that are randomly put above the stage.

In the end it should look like the stages where you vs evil characters in.

The SSB64 stages were great. I would like to see Saffron City, Hyrule Castle and maybe Mushroom Kingdom in the next smash. The stage hazards in those stages weren't broken and contributed to a great overall experience.

Ideas like the pipes are encouraged.

The only thing I found the stage editor useful for was making survival stages just to see how long me and my friend could last.

For instance there are 4 small platforms that are far away from each other (each positioned on the far end corners of the stage) and all the other areas are spiked platforms. In order to get the opponent you would have to cross the spikes and get to the other side lol. We would have like 80% damage before even reaching the other person lol.

You know, I had a hazard concept in mind for Bowser's Castle, if it makes it into the game...

Bowser's Castle would not only have occasional lava flows, but also, the Koopalings would pop up to stir up trouble for the players.

[collapse=Koopalings]
[/collapse]

The Koopalings would pop up while riding on the Koopa Clown Car, and one of them will enter the battlefield to attack. The players can attack the Koopalings at any time, but if one Koopaling gets knocked off the battlefield, another one will take his/her place.

In terms of their attacks...

Larry Koopa: He'll basically release light blue fireballs and jump around the place.

Morton Koopa Jr.: He'll pound the ground, temporarily burying anyone who's not airborne. He'll also hurl spiked balls at players.

Wendy O. Koopa: She'll release energy rings, which follow a diagonal path. She also jumps high.

Iggy Koopa: He'll release green fireballs, which move faster than Larry's fireballs. He also jumps higher than most other Koopalings.

Roy Koopa: He'll pound the ground, temporarily burying anyone who's not airborne. He'll then follow up with a charge attack.

Lemmy Koopa: He'll stand on top of his ball, and release additional balls in an attempt to push players off the battlefield.

Ludwig von Koopa: He'll release blue homing fireballs, or a group of four blue fireballs. He'll also perform flutter jumps in an attempt to ground pound the players.

When damaged enough, all Koopalings will withdraw into their shells, and attempt to ram into the players in a similar fashion as a Green Shell. Eventually though, they'll get knocked off the battlefield.

That seems like far too many hazards to me. If the Koopa Kids show up, it should just be them riding in the clown car as a background thing. Speaking of the clown car, actually, I don't understand why that isn't Bowser's stage entrance. It should be in Smash 4.

I think a Bowser's Castle stage is long overdue. I felt like Luigi's Mansion was their excuse not to have one in Brawl. It was a great stage and I loved the history it reflected, but it used a lot of Bowser music. Anyway, I'm in full favor of a Bowser Castle stage. There could be a great music selection, too:

Castle Theme - SMB
Airship Theme - SMB3
Castle Theme - SMW
Bowser's Theme - SM64
Bowser's Road - SM64
Battle for the Grand Star - SMG
Castle Theme - NSMB/Wii
Bowser's Castle - MKSC
Bowser's Castle - MK7
Bowser's Battle Theme - M&L:BiS

Not sure if this was mentioned, but why not have an ice stage that has nothing in the way of hazards? Like, a Battlefield-type stage, only the main stage is made of ice, and unlike Summit, its ledges can be grabbed and tethered. Assuming it's possible for glide toss in Smash 4, it would give characters, like Peach, Diddy Kong and even R.O.B. a hell of a counterpick option, wouldn't it?

I would think it possible to include all stages spanning the entire series, what with the amount of disc space that will be on a Wii U disc, as opposed to the dual-layered Wii disc Brawl uses. Just my thought.

A couple of stages I would like to see would be Bowser's Castle I'm surprised this hasn't been in it yet. I would like to see a Mario Galaxy themed stage with the whole gravity physics going on maybe a couple of round platforms going on around one big one that you can hop between obviously once you're hit out so far the gravity effect goes and you are sent flying or maybe even pulled into the black hole. The Skyloft would be a great new stage. Maybe a stage similar to the silhouette stages in the DKC Returns that could be fun.

I want a mario 3d land, Spirit Tracks and Donkey Kong Country returns stage. Please and thank you
No. You can't have them. EVER.:troll:

DKCR stage would be sweet, especially Sunset Shores. A Mario 3D Land stage would be pretty cool too, especially on the 3DS.
