Special Versus (All star)

So it seems that if i try to play all star versus and combine it with anything else (stamina,turbo,or both) the game freezes upon stage selection. However, I've ran turbo and stamina at the same time before and its fine. Seems as though running all star versus with any other mode causes the game to freeze after i choose the stage.

Sorry if this is already posted but i took a quick look and didn't find a thread specifically on this.
