This is not something I often do, but here is my GIF reaction:

Well, I am quite sad, I must say. Ghirahim has always been my most wanted character. I supported him long before I even joined this forum. It's crazy to think he's finally done.

That said, I'm not too terribly distraught. I had a gut feeling it was going to happen, and at the very least, he is in Hyrule Warriors, and he looks very fun at that.

Judging from the fact he's got a sword, I imagine he'll have an actual presence on the battlefield.

I'm guessing he'll slash at foes and throw knives, and also teleport around.

It's not like I expected any of my 3 main newcomers to even be playable.
At least Ghirahim got put to rest...... Your fabulous endeavours will always be solidified as an assist trophy. Forever.

Seems in the same boat as Midna. Hyrule Warriors could still fulfill your fancy for play as Ghirahim in anything official and Nintendo-produced.
My condolences for those who supported him though.

But like Skull Kid, he seems to be another character noted by Sakurai enough to be "honorable mention". Also, 4 ATs from Zelda now!

I'm glad that Ghirahim is in the new Smash. I feel sorry for everyone who wanted him playable, but at least he is in....
I admit that it would've been awesome to play as the most flamboyant and unsettling character in Zelda. In fact it would've been FABULOUS!
But Ganon(dorf) is just a more iconic villain and the wielder of the triforce of strength. I liked Ghirahim more as a character, but Zelda without Ganon(dorf) is like Mario without Bowser. And for this and many other reasons, Ganon(dorf) is a more logical inclusion as the Zelda villain.
