Smash Journeyman
Hey, this will be a little strange compared to most posts you see in the regionals, but if you're interested, read on please!
I'm a budding Smash player, and by budding smash player, I don't mean budding into the game, I mean budding into the professional scene. I have grown rapidly in the game, and I see myself improving every day and every event I attend. I got 21st of 64 at GameClucks this month, which is pretty good, but I want it to be better.
I can't just play alone or with my few friends to progress. I am trying to get to Tacoma weeklies at Super Smash Games, but it's a lot of gas money for the hour drive there and back ( I live in Elma, aka; the middle of nowhere). I am basically throwing a signal flare for the western Washington area on the boards. An SOS that means, "play with me, please". I want info on weeklies you guys have, local events you know about, and damn it if you're down I'll come to your house and play with you for a day. The dream would be to have a roommate that plays Melee/PM competitively, but I'm not going to go around and ask random people if I can live with them, lol.
Please, anybody that knows anything that's within an hour to hour and a half drive of me and Smash related, tell me about it.
I'm a very friendly person who will get along with anybody (everybody so far!), and I need your guys' help to take my jame to the next level.
I'll attach a link of Elma on Google Maps so you can see how close/far I am from anything that comes to mind.
