Okay, so just a head's up guys:
With my new job finally settling into a consistent schedule, one of those days being Saturday, I need to figure out how to properly pace myself with being active in the community here. My activity is definitely going to be dropping by a little, mostly for out of town tournaments and majors here in town (WINGS, more or less).
I can swap days with coworkers who are willing, but I'm not going to be doing that for every event under the sun, even if that's honestly what I want to do, and using my vacation time for doing so isn't something that I want to have to rely on 100% of the time for tournaments I'm interested in. So what this means is that although I'll be able to make
several Saturday events from time to time, it won't be consistent, and it won't be often.
I do provide rides/a setup to a lot of those events, so of course, that means I won't be able to provide those rides as often, or as reliably, so anyone who carpooled with me on occasion needs to keep that in mind. I'll definitely let people know when I'll be able to attend or not. It'll just stop being a common thing to see me at this bigger events.
Ideally, I'd like to attend a major event every other month, but I can only really do one. Since I'm still within my 90-day transition period at work, I won't be able to make anything on any Saturday from now until San Japan in August, so WINGZ and TGC4 are most likely out of the question (since TGC4 is so far away, I may be able to swap days for it, but again, it's unlikely).
This doesn't extend to the weeklies here in town, however. I do get Thursdays and Sundays off for my schedule, meaning that unless I just choose not to attend, I'll be making every LoS and UA weekly that is hosted. The only exception is if I'm able to successfully swap a Saturday for one of these days for those bigger tournaments, or my Wednesdays, which I also have off during the week.
So essentially, I'm gonna drop in activity for up to a year as far as majors go. It'll be noticeable, but I'll be making an active effort to attend what I can, because I do enjoy this game, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon. Just wanted to let you guys know.
That's about it though. Someone good please team with Megafox for those events I can't attend. It's goddamn fun.
