Thanks to everyone for making this event the biggest Lafayette has seen in quite sometime! (maybe even ever!) Huge shout out to the venue for making this all possible and being extremely accommodating to everything we needed. Thanks to everyone who brought set ups - we had a overflowing amount of CRTs in the building which made it awesome to have a friendly room to play in. However, I apologize for the limited number of melee setups we had (Only 8 :/) - unfortunately people who had provided set ups for P:M did not enter Melee, thus taking their set ups with them after P:M was completed.

Congrats to @Lee Martin for cleaning up almost every event, with the exception of melee doubles. Shout outs to Brzz for putting in some work in melee singles - that was some hype stuff. Also, @ ChKn ChKn on the rise in P:M - hide yo monies. Also big thanks to all the Lafayette crew (@Random Samus Kid @|VICE| @ ChKn ChKn @JDIZ @JazzNarco, Devon, Colby) for all your help in getting everything looking and sounding professional this go around.

Twitch.tv was nice enough to mute our entire broadcast from the event, so I am working on appealing that so we can get some sound back and get the matches on to youtube for your viewing pleasure. I apologize for this error and most likely will be moving to Hitbox.tv due to this.

I wish I could have made it, but my brother is not willing to drive to Lafayette. SOOO many people went to this tourney, and the payouts were huge. Hopefully the monthly godlike can match the attendance of this tourney.

Gonna say this even though it will probably sound like I'm salty because I got 2nd and thus a much smaller cut, but that's not the case at all. Usually bigger events scale down the 1st place payout along with the 2nd and maybe 3rd place payouts. Paying out to top 6 should have looked more like 50/25/10/7.5/3.75/3.75. Or 50/25/10/7/4/4 if you don't wanna deal with so many decimals.
Might post about stages in the FB group, I think we really need to cut down the list for redundancy, it seems to be a huge timesink when you spend 1-2 mins in between each match trying to select/ban stages when in Melee it's almost instant.

@DF - We had a discussion about this very issue in the FB group (Which you were a part of) and the regions TOs also had the same discussion. Everyone agreed on the 60/20/10/5/2.5/2.5 splits (If 31+ entrants) and I didn't hear any complaints - Not till the tournament was over, that is. The only other split I am considering is 55/25/10/5/2.5/2.5 (In our case, it was 25 bucks+ for either 2nd or 1st.), but I feel like that payout for 3rd and so on are fair. The thought behind it was that there would be a payout till the last person paid at least got their money back.
