I was facing Peach as Dr. Mario on dreamland 64. Items were turned off, but when peach plucked a Turnip, she pulled out a beam sword.

No Problem!
Peach has a very minute chance of pulling out a Bom-omb, Mr. Saturn or Beam Sword instead of a turnip. Use them to your advantage

She's always been able to do that, not just in PM.

Not a glitch. The chances of Peach pulling a Beam Sword are about 1/58.
im wondering if there's a bug in the forum where people only see the OP, because this has been answered.
