Tournament of Champions II: UPDATED QUALIFICATIONS

***$500 prize - split 50/25/10/5/3/3/2/2 by the top 8 winners of ToC2
***Mural on the 'Wall of Champions' (WoC)
***Top 2 players - EVO Registration Reimbursement & Room at Bally's for 4 nights at EVO

Winner is based on: Tournament consisting of 8 qualified players.

Two Ways to Qualify

1.Top 6 players with the most points determined from quarterly ranbats (v2.1-v2.6|v3.1-v3.6|v4.1-v.6)
2. 1st and 2nd from tournament of champions last chance qualifier tournament. This tournament will take place the same day.

T.O.C. - seeding will be decided based on the number of points

Singles Pro Bracket Payout:
1st: 50% of pot
2nd: 25% of pot
3rd: 10% of pot
4th: 5% of pot
5th: 3% of pot
5th: 3% of pot
7th: 2% of pot
7th: 2% of pot

Point system is as follows
*Refers to these 3 Series: (v2.1-v2.6 | v3.1-v3.6 | v4.1-v4.6)
1st = 10 points
2nd = 7 points
3rd = 5 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 1 point

*Point System for ToC2 (formula for ToC2 ranbat)
1st - 125 Points
2nd - 100 Points
3rd - 75 Points
4th - 50 Points
5th/6th - 25 Points
7th/8th - 25 Points

The point system specific to ToC2 is to allow others who did not participate in the Ranbat to potentially still win the overall Championship

If we did a Bi-Weekly RanBat for Melee where the winner will get their EVO ticket & Hotel paid for, would people be interested...?

Yeah I would be. Though no one from socal should be flying to EVO; the drive isn't that bad. Maybe pick another tournament?

I can help out with running the bracket again. Also I can try to convince Blur to let you advertise in the socal melee fb group again; I think that would really get more people to show up. He just needs to know that we'll guarantee a good tournament experience for the players, which we've proven we can do

Jace, Thank you very much for your support. We find SoCal Melee on Facebook to be a great way to spread the word regarding our Bi-Weekly Melee tourneys. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated. As for EVO, I meant EVO registration and Hotel Room. Our Melee Bi-Weekly would become a ranbat and the winner of the ranbat will have their EVO Regestration reimbursed by UGC and they will also gain a free room for 4 nights at Bally's for the Evo event.

Okay I'll talk to Blur. Also would you be okay with trying to schedule these around Mayhem and SSS tournaments? May not be an issue for awhile since the SSS staff is still looking for a venue

Dont forget everyone, we are hosting Melee this weekend on Sunday Feb 8 with $5 Venue and $3 tourney. Our Bi-Weekly Melee will continue the following Sunday Feb 15th. If we get a good turnout for the 15th, we may make it an EVO qualifier that would include hotel for 4 nights at Ballys
