Smash Rookie
On Sunday, November 23rd 2014, get ready to smash.
The Miami Workers Center, a social justice 501 (c) 3 non-profit, is hosting a videogame tournament featuring the Nintendo series, "Super Smash Bros."
Funds raised at this tournament will allow MWC to continue creating affordable housing initiatives for Miami's most disadvantaged communities and to continue advocating for immigrant equality.
This will also be one of the first tournaments in South Florida to feature the newly released "Super Smash Bros. Wii U"
The events are as follows:
Super Smash Bros. Wii U
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Smash Bros. N64
Project M
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Ultimate
NBA 2K14
TOURNAMENT RULES:
Smash: 3 stock, 8 min. matches, UNITY Rule set, MK Legal (Wii U, Wii)
UMvC3: Best 2 out of 3
NBA 2k14: TBA
Wii U, and Brawl will also be double-elimination.
There will be a raffle of fun items including a $50 Gamestop gift card, as well as food and drinks for sale.
ENTRY FEES:
$5 per event
$10 for all events and food.
FREE/ Bring set-ups and equipment
AWARDS:
50% of all proceeds go to Miami Workers Center
20% of pot to 1st Place
15% of pot to 2nd Place
10% of pot to 3rd Place
