I have to preface this one. NSA2 turned out to be a fantastic event, supported by everyone in New England. Our players brought 50 TVs, plenty of setups for casual games the entire day, The Melee Games saw it's first victor crowned, VGBC brought a livestream to a steady 3k viewers throughout this massive event, and the staff were absolutely phenomenal. Things lasted longer than we expected but everyone had a great time and that was a really important part of why we enjoy running the event so much.

Amazing tournament experience. Best first regional I could have ever attended. Thanks Matt for working so hard, I had a blast. Thanks to everyone I played throughout the day, everyone in my pool was super cool, especially stickman, we need to play again when we get the chance. The stream room was awesome, the tournament was well run and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. All the other college kids I hope you can all come down to uconn sometime, you were all really cool to chill with. Dudutsai it was really surreal when you told me you watched my stream and knew who I was, I really liked the match we played. Respect to everyone, hope to see you soon. All but 2 Uconn kids made it into bracket, more than any other school, look out Melee games 2

RNDL- We played a lot of great games in our friendly's. Your falco is really good and it taught me a lot, I wish we played our friendlys earlier so I could have been prepared for the MDZ. I can't wait to play you again you're a strong player.
Relax- When we played in pools you 0 to deathed me and then I came back and I wasl ike nahh brah and 0=deathed ya back. Some good games wish we saved our match for a little later in the pool so we were more warmed up! You're definitely the smartest falcon I've ever played not even close. And you're mad handsome!
Slag- Good games dude! Just keep sheiking.
DJN- Good games, runaway fox is hard to play against! I'm going to train real hard this week with codi/anml/brobafet/ob1jabroni and I'm coming for you! Looking forward to meeting you again in bracket and taking a game off you!

Round 1 of PM and Doubles top 8 was skipped because of how we formed the top8. Please see the Waves for the previous matches.

This was a freaking blast, though getting back to CT at 6am was a little rough. Huge ups to MDZ for getting this all in in a day even with delays in the morning.

Glad i got Roga to play again with me. Goot tournament we did our best and pretty happy with the results. Sucks I had to leave early and give away my 2nd seed spot. I'll stick around next time.

Other than that, it was scary leaving... I parked at the west village garage and didn't pay attention to the closing time. Car was stuck and garage door was closed.... Somehow they left the 3rd floor door unlocked and I let myself in but still needed a campus police to let us out

Nightro - Thanks for the ride, first of all. 6 hours in a car is kind of unbearable without good company, and you're kind of the best company. Good stuff in tourney too. I should probably quit Olimar and be right up there with you in Top 4, but PM's kind of a silly game.

Gravy - Although you getting top 3 was unexpected by most, I knew all you needed was 4 grabs from the beginning :D I'm mad you didn't take the whole thing, but everyone in Upstate knows you will next time. Run with the hype, but honestly nothing was more hype than you clogging Dudu's toilet :D
Mana - Nice we finally got to spend a bit of time together. I'm definitely the underdog for our cast battle, but it's gotta happen for EVERYONE's sake :D

Mr. Lemon - Disguising your ridiculously high-prioritied fireballs as pills in PM really makes them hard to hit. Sorry we didn't get to play any Melee. You were literally the last person I had to beat before I would have been on stream. Maximum salt, but good games.
Sora - Thanks for the games. Olimar's really whack and you had me really worried. You only had to camp me a bit harder

Crush - I kinda swore my ass off when I lost to you. Sorry about that. That was kind of my lowest of the low that tourney. Either way, I learned a lot from that set and thanks for the games.

Hey guys, I'm excited in the wind down of this amazing tournament, and I know it's time for shoutouts.

First and foremost, shoutouts go to MATTDOTfreakingZEB. Not only is this guy the ultimate high tier homie, but he ran a fascinating tournament in a purely inspirational fashion.

Second, the crowd. What can I say? I love you guys. I play this game to entertain, and even though I'm always going to be trying to win, I definitely think about you guys the whole time. My whole goal is to just keep improving so I can maintain an impressive run for you guys to follow. I'm glad I'm not the only one on the gravy train anymore.

Now, as for individual shout outs

SAI, thank you so much for housing us, I know you had a tough time with your parents but we appreciate the hell out of you stepping up for us. I am so sorry about your toilet.

Our set was crazy, but I think it just mostly showed that I can force you out of crouch and make you play my rhythm, but I think if you just tried being aggro more you could overcome it easily.

TICHINDE, we had a great set too and I'm pretty sure that we played some friendlies as well. You seem very nice and respectable, we should play again if we get a chance :D

HECTOHERTZ, it was fun playing you, I think I might have played you the most out of anyone! You made me feel good about my sheik match up, but I'll keep working on it! I can't distinguish our bracket matches from our friendlies, but we'll definitely play again!

UNKNOWNFORCE, I remember playing you in one friendly and getting destroyed on FD, and I was nervous coming up to you in bracket. It was tense and your sheik is definitely great, and I like your attitude towards playing. GGs man

ANDY, you're definitely a super charismatic dude, and that's awesome. I definitely enjoyed playing you and had no idea what to expect, but next time we need to get more friendlies in! I think you can whoop sai dude just work on it

TIAN, I was excited to play you because I know you're an amazing sheik, and I have to say our set was a blast. You have a very engaging playstyle and I enjoyed myself even when losing game 1. Honestly your attitude about the game and towards me has been amazing, and I'm always going to have a blast around you. GGs dude.

MOON, What can I say dude? We're both just trying to hold it down for New York in the end, we're definitely on the same team. You definitely held it down in winners, but I guess anything can happen. Your playstyle is intense and inspirational dude, the whole day I was obsessed with how tight that marth is. I can't wait to play again, seriously.

KDJ, awesome set man. I'm really sorry about the SD game 1, you probably would have won that game without that. You're definitely a legend dude, and I have the ultimate respect for you. I'm sorry falcon is so hard to kill on dreamland. I'm excited for our next set to see how it'll play out, I'm interested in what stages/characters it'll be. Very smart player, I had a blast :D GGs

DAZWA, the sheik is too good man :D congratulations on your placing and congratulations on clutching it out vs me! Dude I also have to say that you're unbelievably good in teams, it was seriously blowing me away, I wish I understood how you're that good. Thanks for the kind words. NSA2 was the only tournament I felt I performed close to my ability so it means a lot to for someone to say that. Hopefully I can attend more tournaments from here on out if I'm not buried under schoolwork.

DJ Nintendo - I hate how every time you came off the respawn platform you read exactly where I was going. Led to some super janky last minute airdodges on my part. GGs though, well deserved win in Singles but I will forever hold some salt in my heart for the Doubles loss. Next time!

wWw Dazwa - Good stuff on having an easy bracket in Melee. And only winning P:M because of the cap. And being carried by KDJ in doubles. Fraud. At least you flipped off a penguin or two though.

Gravy - The showstealer! I look forward to a set where we can both play at our best, 3 AM wasn't kind to either of us. FoD your favorite though? There's a reason it's called Fountain of Dazwa in NE, son. (It isn't actually called that tho) (they didn't even name Pokefloats after me) (can you even believe that?)

Liquid'KDJ - Remember those times we went double Sheik and ended up choosing the same movement options, attack choices, recovery decisions, etc., for like 4-7 second periods of time? I mean it only happened like 30,000 times, kinda obscure. I look forward to teaming in the future, Team LiqwWwid is gonna be scary :D Don't be afraid of using Sheik in singles though! Especially against Falcon...

Zoso - TIME TO INVENT A FOURTH BRACKET

The Moon - So many Marth attack names....good stuff in doubles though! Plotting revenge as I type this ofc

Jesiah - GGs in PM, but one of these days we'll finally meet up in Melee singles. AMAZING set against The Moon btw, I was on the edge of my seat that entire set. I was actually beginning to wonder how I even managed to take a game off you in PM. The final moment was soul-crushing to say the least. I knew you were a beast but I didn't realize to what extent. Keep being a beast.

Tian - I didn't realize you placed so high, but great job. I look forward to our inevitable Sheik dittos in a future tournament (jk who looks forward to Sheik dittos r u kidin me)
