Has anyone else noticed that A lot of the newcomers have some sort of gimmick attached to them?
Shulk: Monado Arts
Robin: durability
pac-man: none besides the fact that IT'S PACK-MAN
Palutena: crazy custom moves
Mii: Palutena and pac-man's gimmicks combined into a super gimmick
Greninja: Nothing really, only thing close is shadow sneak
little mac: +1,000 to ground -1,000 to air
Rosalina&Luma: Super combo skills of doom
Villager: lots of small weirdness*
Mega man: every attack is a move from his game, leading to general oddness
Wii fit trainer: yoga poses, pitfall jab, and deep breathing

Anyway, do you think this is good or bad? I think it is kinda odd that do many of the new characters have these gates that make them hard to pick up. I hope that some of the hidden characters have move-sets that are more.... normal

The smasher comes from the bottom of the arena
We already have a roster filled with "regular" fighters so it makes sense that these characters would have extra abilities to help differentiate themselves from the older characters. I don't really see them as "Gimmicks" but just further expanding what characters can do. Because let's admit it, if Shulk didn't have the Monado Arts, he would just be another generic swordsman on the roster (at least as far as move-set goes.).

I think it's good. It gives more unique gameplay to the roster.
