Mission Statement

The Missouri Melee Power Rankings is a list decided upon by aggregate votes compiled by the group of panelists listed above. We aim to establish organization as well as motivation in the Missouri Melee community by giving recognition to community leaders who are active in the tournament scene. An active player is defined as one who competes in a minimum of 2 tournaments in the 6 month timeframe prior to voting. Ultimately it is our hope that this type of recognition stimulates activity and promotes growth amongst our small but tight knit community. Unlike most Power Rankings, our candidates are not restricted to a selection of exclusively Missouri residents, but to all participants of primarily Missouri tournaments. This allows the inclusion of players living near the borders of our centralized state, provided they meet the active criteria. In order for a tournament and its participants to be considered, it must contain a minimum of 3 ranked members, and 14 total participants. Any and all rules can be subject to change at any time by a majority rule among the panelists.

Missouri Melee Power Rankings - Fun Edition!

The other panelists were poopy-heads and wouldn't let me do this officially, so I decided to do it unofficially in the first reply to the thread! Here's the PR with a fun theme. It took me about 2 and a half hours, so I hope you guys like it! :D

I feel that there's a large percentage of players in the top 10 that are very close in skill level, so lets hope we can update this frequently according to each tournament we have.

 

[Strong Badam]

It will likely be at least 5 months before we update again. The biggest issue is that Bieber will be in Argentina for most of the summer, so we can't very well update it until he's attended some tourneys after returning in August. Another issue is whether or not the ROMOs will be continuing through the summer, which has implications for the health of the community as well as the Power Rankings.

I feel that there's a large percentage of players in the top 10 that are very close in skill level, so lets hope we can update this frequently according to each tournament we have.

Yes very close!!! it took awhile for us to figure it all out based on facts (results/placings/pvp's). Also we didn't have very many tourneys to go off of. especially here in missouri, so next time will be a lot more accurate since we'll have more results and pvp's to go off of

also i will try my best to get at least one tourney in como, prolly at mizzou over the summer that will have kcmo, kck, stl, springfield, rolla, maybe washington, and anyone else that can come for a good missouri tournament.
