As soon as Soonk is able to he will add the rankings. I do believe he has passed control of the event to another, so next event tell them to get on here and update em. When summer comes and I can come to this every week I will try to update it myself.


BTW guys if anyone has the Mewtwo DLC and can bring it with, it would be awesome for people to try him out if they dont have him yet. I also assume this weekends event will be run on the newest patch that releases tomorrow.

I went to GGA yesterday (May 24) with a friend of mine for the Smash 4 singles, but I was told that the event was taking place at Combo Breaker and that we would've had to pre-register anyways. Problem is, there was no indication about this on your Smashboards page which I checked on the same day! It simply said:

We generally post everything on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/312550418372) and the Chicago Smash 4 page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/717465861667368/) and tend to forget about this thread. I suggest you join one or both of those groups, not only for our updates, but for updates on the rest of Chicago Smash as well. I think the way Restive setup the event page here was that it just reoccurs weekly, but since Combo Breaker was going on this weekend, there was no reason for us to host a small gathering at the arcade.

I believe they are using 3 stock when there are 25 players or less. Due to time constraints, any more players with 3 stocks and we'd be here all night. Customs are dividing everyone right now, so I'm not sure what the plan is. I think the current plan is to alternate weeks, but that could be open for discussion. For example, Smash n Splash is June 13, and allows customs, so maybe we'll have 2 weeks of customs practice before that, but after that we have CEO which does not allow customs, so we might roll without customs after Smash n Splash but before CEO, then maybe alternate until it gets closer to Evo, which of course does allow customs.

We tried Melee, nobody showed up. Also, the room isn't big enough for 2 games, we'd have to run a full day event to host pm and melee. Not saying we couldn't, or won't, but it's not in the foreseeable future.

Yea I set this thread up to reoccur every week, just be aware that if there is a big regional tournament going on in the area, then it is likely that there wont be a weekly. Next event is Smash N Splash. Like Soonk said the room is kinda crowded and the event would have to be expanded time-wise to incorporate Melee or PM. If there really is enough want, it could happen. The arcade has tried melee before though, and it met with mediocre turn-out.
