5th Place - Swiftbass - Defeating his pool very solidly, dropping just a single match, Swift moved into bracket as a First Seed. Dispatching of Luigi-main PSI, he then took down Mafia. Darc put a stop to Swiftbass' movement in the Winners Side. In Losers, he defeated Crush and Admiral before losing to Slox. This was one of Swift's lower placings at NESS event, but he is still holding on tightly to one of the top spots.
5th Place - PSI - Younger brother to Sai, and New England's best Luigi, fought his way through bracket. Getting Second Seed in pools to MattDotZeb, his bracket run started with a loss to Swiftbass in Winners Round 1. In the Losers side, he defeated UMass Boston's Klaps, ran-back a set against MattDotZeb, CT's Top Shiek Main Spawn, older brother Sai, and Mafia to finally lose to Zoso. This is an extremely impressive run particularly for someone that doesn't often appear at tournaments. His performance earned him his first NESS points toward Mass Madness Championship Edition.
4th Place - Slox - Champion of the previous Mass Madness, Slox dispatched his pool easily dropping no games. In Winners, he defeated Sol, up-and-coming Peach-main Icy, Sai, and lost to Maine's th0rn. In Losers he defeated fellow CT Smasher Swiftbass, and lost to Zoso. A solid showing bolstered his standing in the NESS rankings.
3rd Place - th0rn - Maine's strongest player, and in debate for New England's top player, th0rn does not often show up at events. He cut through his pool with a top seed, and in bracket defeated Panzy, Crush, Nuro, and Slox losing to Darc in Winners Finals. In Losers Finals he was defeated by Zoso. He earned his first NESS points at this event.
2nd Place - Zoso - Rhode Island's best Smasher and considered New England's best player right now. Unsurprisingly he cut through his pool with ease. He defeated SOLAR, Spawn, and Tian until losing to Darc in Winners Semi-Finals. In Losers he defeated PSI, Slox, and th0rn. He brought Grand Finals to set2 against Darc but ultimately the Puff was too strong and sent Zoso packing.
1st Place - Darc - Considered one of the best Jigglypuff mains, Darc had a very strong showing at this event. In bracket he defeated UMass Boston's Sing and Crow, Swiftbass, Zoso, and th0rn. In Grand Finals he dropped Set 1 but held on and won the 2nd set earning him the crown at this event. While he's only been to two NESS Circuit tournaments Darc earned enough points here to jump him up to 5th place in the standings.
