Code of Conduct:
  • All ejections or disqualifications due to violations of the Code of Conduct or individual game rules will be without refund.
  • No alcohol or illegal substances inside the venue. Getting caught with these items or evidence of the presence of these items will result in disqualification from the event and eviction from the venue.
  • No fighting or weaponry inside the venue. Throwing controllers or acting in a way that could pose a danger to other players will result in disqualification from the event and eviction from the venue.
  • No refusal to play on certain TVs or setups will be tolerated barring extreme circumstances. All players agree to have their matches recorded if requested by the TO.
  • Be on time to your match. You have 5 minutes from when it's called to be at your station or you forfeit the first game. If you are 10 minutes late you forfeit the match and are either out or in losers.
Collusion (Pot splitting, bracket rigging, etc):
I don't tolerate collusion of any kind. I don't want to hear it. I don't want to see it. I don't make money off this event. I give up my Saturday to run this event. I do this because I want the San Antonio and surrounding scenes to have another tournament to go to. If you are strapped for time come talk to me. We can work something out.

In the case that 2 or more placing players are caught colluding, prize money will be redistributed to the next qualifying tier of players. This will be a pain for everyone involved. Don't do this.

WE NEED PEOPLE TO BRING TVS!

I can only provide a couple TVs to start with, so it's up to the rest of the community to bring more and make the event easier to run. More setups means more friendlies and more playing time, so please do your part if you have equipment to lend us for the day. Remember, if you bring a full setup, we will refund your $5 venue fee at the end of the tourney.

College Station will be in attendance, and we plan on bringing NUMBERS this time. I'm hoping for 10 of us.

Edit: And as usual, we will have a few setups and I will be able to record.

It would be nice to see oracle there to take our monies, however we have Abstract Logic. I'm hyped for the match between these guys. @ AbstractLogic AbstractLogic

it would also be sad if those two didn't play, and I had to defend everyone against oracle's R.O.B

......oh no.......

well, practice time.....

No need to worry Chris. My Kirby is coming to save the day and take all the monies. Oracle, Abstract Logic, SOS, it don't matter. I'm about to go in!

I have gotten 2nd these last two and I WILL beat SOS this time around. If Oracle shows up, I'll be twice as motivated to take 1st.

@ Oracle Oracle I would highly recommend showing up to one of these, Zhea is a great TO and the players here are extremely underrated in the PM scene in my opinion.

I'm still salty about missing Play a Real Game 2, so I will need to go hard at this tournament.

@ RedGamer RedGamer I depend on these tournies for gas money man!

@ G-Rabbit G-Rabbit I'll make sure you get 30% of the pot. I'm going for the gold man!

@ Oracle Oracle Yeah I can house around 3 comfortably(couch + big ass air mattress) and probably 6 less comfortably. Nike has more floor space then I do, but you'll have to ask him. The bright side of my place is the venue is my apartments party room.

which means a 2 min walk when you're half sleepy, and a 45 second walk if you're wide awake.

I'm getting hype!!

@ G-Rabbit G-Rabbit you remember what happened at forte? get ready....
That was Kirby BETA. The dude's my main now, and I have way more tricks and skills with him. I've been getting good results with him. I'll just have to blow you away the same way I did Southern Gent this weekend. Soon all of you will know the truth that is Kirby.

I didn't mean it in a rude way. I just meant that Southern Gent was really impressed with what he saw. And you will be too. Especially after you get bopped. ;P

I have a question, if I bought a Classic Controller to GameCube adapter, would that be okay? I'm asking because it says to bring GC Controllers. If also possible, could I just use my CCP with the hosts Wii Remote at whatever station I'm at? I've gotten use to playing with the CCP on the Wii U since I don't have my Wii with me where I am currently living.

If not, then I will just buy a spare GameCube controller for the Event. Me and a friend will try to be there, he has class that ends at 11am that day, so I don't know how late we would be or if we just won't be able to make it since it starts at 11am.

This will also be our first tourney; we really wanna try to get into the competitive scene and meet new people. :)

There wouldn't be anything wrong with you using a classic controller on a normal Wii setup, but bringing a setup without Gamecube ports will be troublesome. It should be okay for you to use something other than a Gamecube controller, but it is by far the preferred controller for the rest of us. Please make sure your setup has Gamecube ports if possible.

I wanted to add that the Wii we will be bringing is my friends, who has the GC ports and a GC Controller for him.

I brought up the CCP because I don't have access to my OG Wii and GC controller, so I adapted to playing on Wii U. I might just buy a new GC controller though.

Anyways, we will also try to bring a full set.

Wii setups require gc ports. Provided your controller can be used with what ever setup then fine. The setup wiimote is not guaranteed(lots of hacked setups to not require it to start up) I would bring your own wiimote or the adapter.
