Lucas in the BBR v3 Panel - Finished with Applicants

Hey everyone, I’m J and will be leading your character’s panel for the BBR Match-Up Chart v3. The thread detailing panel leaders, as well as other various information about the project, can be found here.

The current panelists for this panel are:
1.) J
2.) rPSI
3.) Chuee
4.) T-Block
5.) Mekos

We are limited to five panelists for this project, and are looking for active and knowledgeable members of the character community to help fill our remaining openings. If you would like to join the panel for this character, please make a post demonstrating your interest in this thread, along with what would make you a desirable panelist. Keep in mind that debating skills are important for all panel members, and those with poor behavior will be ejected from the project if complaints arise.


If you have any questions or concerns regarding this panel or its activities, feel free to post them in this thread. You may also PM me or Ish if you would rather speak to one of us privately. Panelist selections will be finalized in a week or two, at which point we will begin discussing which match-ups to change in the panelist subforum.

Can I have an honorable mention if I don't get into the panel

the only MU I'm knowledgeable in is MK from experience (lots of it :/).

Also being in Aus I'm not sure how our meta-game compares to any other place.

Well, due to shortage, I am happy to apply.

My main MU experience comes from Lucas vs. Lucas, Ness vs. Ness and Lucas vs. Ness battles (which I know back the front), however I also have some knowledge regarding the Oli, Pit, MK, Bowser, ICs and Falco match-ups, while less so knowing some things about Pika, Marth and Snake match-ups. Like Jamwa, I am Australian so my level of play may not be as good, though I believe I have a general feel for how the above characters play.

Other match-ups I tend to be fuzzy on and am NOT a source of advice, unless to attempt to bring up a factor to be discussed.

Not so much a frame data person, I focus more on individual aspects of a match, what each character can do in certain situations, ground priority and the like.

Also, for each character brought up, I am happy to test out different ideas and strategies suggested by anyone.

Unfortunately I do have the problem that I cannot be on all the time. However if accepted I can attempt to make a concerted effort to be about when match-ups are discussed.

Perhaps the biggest thing here is that I would want to join the panel to learn. As a newer poster on the boards in relation to some others, I believe if I wanted to achieve any kind of dream in terms of smash i'd need to learn what to do, how to work, how to play and how to achieve that dream. Knowledge, therefore, may be an answer.

Okay, so that's my submission... If PF, FAE, Mekos or indeed any person with more experience than myself (which I suppose is basically everyone) puts forward an application then I would be more than happy to stay out and watch the fun from the outside. =)

Basically I've been here for a few years, followed the competitive scene and Lucas players for awhile. I have a little bit of offline experience, but I've watched almost every major tournament, and most Lucas players so I get my experience from that. I'm pretty familiar with frame data, what characters can do what out of grab release and whatnot.

Because the deadline is approaching quickly for this, I will be more than happy to have rPSI/Chuee for the panel for old times sake and Jamwa/Luco on the list for tenatively. The reason I say tentative is because although both of you are active, if other people came in with more experience they would have priority. However, you both are active on the boards so I definitely happy to have you on regardless for now.

I laughed so hard. Mekos should be on this panel for the simple reason that he can grind all opposition to the ground through sheer practical experience. Me likey. Mekos, if you want a spot i'm happy to give mine up. =)

Mekos, even if you don't want to contribute a lot, it still adds some sense of credibility to the panel. It also helps the rest of the panel to make more informed decisions.

Okay sorry I have been absent for a bit. However, I have news regarding this.

After getting a message from T-Block he will be on the panel and with Mekos saying he would like to help as well puts them on the panel now and removes Luco and Jamwa.

This panel definitely looks good since it has a good amount of people who have been talking about Lucas for years now and also was a part of the original Lucas MU thread and then there is TB who was the leader of the last panel and then Mekos is our #1 player at the current time.

Locking the names in and moving on to wait for the next step of this.

Hey while we wait, since the other boards are doing it, are there any particular MUs we're considering changing (seeing as most other threads like this are now having discussions with the regular community as to what they think the MU spread should look like)?
