Hey new here, how is the scene in LA, CA?

I've been meaning to get into the competitive scene for a while but don't know how to go about it. How would i get about to doing this in Los Angeles? Also still nooby to smashboards, can i even post this here?

I've looked around Smashboards for a bit to see if there was a scene in Los Angeles and found nothing. Maybe I'm not looking correctly but I do wish more people from LA posted on here instead of Facebook or other sites I don't use
