There will be no pre-register discounts but it will definitely help me move the tournament along if I get these info already into TiO, so please post them in the thread:

Basic Info​

Schedule:

There will be seeding through pools. If there is a good size, then it will be a pool elimination but if the the turnout is low, then there will be no elimination if time permits. Top # to get out of pools will be determined depending on turnout.

All are rough estimates past sign up, and these are for both games.
10:00 - Venue opens.
11:00 - Sign up.
12:00 - Doubles sign up ends.
12:30 - Doubles starts.
02:00 - Additional sign up for Singles (For Latecomers)
03:00 - Singles sign up ends.
03:30 - Pool Singles start.
30-45 min intermission for food consumption after pools.
Singles starts after the allotted time. PLEASE BE BACK TO THE VENUE ON TIME!

Side tournaments will happen after main event has been completed if time permits. Side tournaments might be Smash 64. Teh_Future will be in charge of this so let him know if you are interested. Will try to get things done quickly since people also want to do Ironman matches.


Additional Info

We will try to accommodate by moving matches in place of yours if something comes up, but we will only give you 3 strikes if you take more than 10 mins or it becomes inconvenient for us or your opponent.

After that, you will lose privileges or even get DQ'ed (the latter will probably take priority if the former still doesn't make any sense); hence keep track of where you are in the bracket or inform us of the situation WELL BEFORE your match starts if any of the previously mentioned (something else) occurs. (The brackets will be posted up on a projector so no excuses)

All we really ask is that you warn us beforehand so nothing gets held up too long.

PS: THIS IS IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY DURING POOLS. WE MIGHT BE STRICTER DURING POOLS SINCE THAT USUALLY IS THE REASON TOURNAMENTS ARE HELD UP. THIS METHOD MIGHT BE CHILDISH BUT IF YOU DON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS, THEN WE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE ONE.

Any side tourneys will happen on the event it is for, ie. Low tier tournaments for brawl will happen on Saturday if there is time.

Venue: $10 for one tournament; $15 for both tournaments
Singles: $10
Doubles: $20 per team or $10 per person

Full set up (Wii/GC+Game+TV) and we use it = Free admission
Part set up (Either Wii/GC+Game or TV) and we use it = - $5
Full set up and we don’t use it = - $5
Part set up (TV) and we don’t use it = - $2
Part set up (Wii/GC + Game) and we don't use it = - $1
(TVs are a lot harder to bring than a system and game)

Payout​

Singles:

1st - 48%
2nd - 22%
3rd - 14%
4th - 8%
5th - 4% each

Doubles:

1st - 55%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 15%

Possible Bonus Pot?!

Bonus pot will be based on attendance. If I can't get a minimum of 40 entrants, I won't have a bonus pot.

I want to put a bonus pot in like last year but I definitely miscalculated last year so I can't do it like last time. So please don't ask me why it isn't like last HD.

Other

Stage Striking will be in effect for the first match of the set. The player with the lower port will get to choose the first strike. Loser choses ban before next match.

One ban per player per set. To be chosen after loss.

Modified DSR: You cannot go back to the last stage you won in a set, unless agreed upon by the other player.

The player choice clause!:: If both players agree to a rule outside of my ruleset, feel free to play by that. If one player wants to counterpick Mute City and the other player is fine with that because they think it's a fair stage, then that is more than fine. However in the event the two players disagree, house rules stand.

Double blind for character selection may be used if a player wants to.

Other Rules & Special Issues​

Controller mods of ANY kind (short-hop mod, L-trigger mod, etc),
except for cosmetic changes (paint job, different colored plastic), are
banned. If you are caught using a banned controller you will be
disqualified from the tournament.

Turbo or programmed buttons of any kind are banned. You may use
third party controllers or pads that have these features, but if you
are suspected of using the banned features you will not be allowed to
use that controller any longer.

Tactics such as Peach's Wallbombing and Jiggly's Rising Pound are
allowed as methods of recovery or to manuever around the stage. Using
them (or any similar tactics) to excessively stall a match, such as
droping below levels intentionally and stalling underneath, is banned.
Judges will be on the tournament floor can be called in at any time to
enforce this rule during a match.

You are responsible to BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER.

Housing​

Housing will be limited and so some may have to result in using the hotel but more info on this later

If people do end up in the hotels due to lack of housing, I will discount the venue fee for them but I need proof such as room key and a list of people in that room. I've listed on the OP some of the cheapest places with prices (with 4 guests as the price - if you do single, it's cheaper).

Will be updated 2-3 weeks prior to tournament - If you want a definite spot, please confirm ASAP that you are coming and whether you need housing or not. OoS in the attendance list Priority will be given to those who have 4+ hrs of travel time.

If you receive housing at a smasher's place, please be respectful of their area and don't expect them to have bedding for each one of you. Please try to accommodate yourself with pillows and blankets because it may be a floor you will be sleeping on.
